It's my local and never fail to get a good meal in there . Staff are really friendly and work really hard to give great customer service
Popped in last night for dinner as we'd had a busy day. I had Steak and Ale pie. Hubby had Steak. Both huge portions and absolutely gorgeous. Great prices too. Lovely staff. 😊
Lovely pub - it's a lot bigger inside than it looks from outside!
Very prompt service, with special little extras (like mulled wine in winter) and polite staff who know what they're selling.
We had dinner here and the food was fantastic - the staff are really friendly, and will happily recommend their favourites - especially puddings!!
In summer the steps up to the bar will be crowded with smokers, and the car park is always busy on weekend evenings.
Well worth the effort tho.
Fantastic new menu, great meal on a Thursday night, lots of choice and a good atmosphere to boot, recommended.

Have been here quite a few times now and it's a lovely relaxed pub. Service from Lauren is on point every single time. Lads behind the bar are always polite and friendly.
Food has always been good. They have a new menu and can definitely recommend the lamb shank.
Looking forward to trying more off their new menu.
Had a lovely two course lunch with drinks here today, not our first visit but been a very positive experience everytime. Hunter's chicken is fab, in theory a standard pub item I've had many places but notable quality here.

Great atmosphere and staff, food for a greene king chain is exceptional, you can really tell they care. Compliments to the chef and I'll definitely be back next week.
Love the Lasagne with salad and garlic bread, best one we've had in a while, bought extra chips as a side, shared with 3 of us. Atmosphere was good, access really handy with slope up for wheelchairs/pushchair etc..and good size carpark directly off road with disabled bays, staff were friendly, nice and clean. Good price generally. Happy customer🙂
A great pub with friendly staff. Dogs are welcome in the bar but not in the main restaurant at the back, but you can eat from the same menu in the bar. They have a good selection of beers and ales. The bar is a mix of high and low tables with two tables having nice window seats. There is a big car park and some benches outside too.
Fantastic night last night.... the manager, WOW.. what a character, warm, funny, very professional and we were made to feel very welcome! We're part of a very large family and will definitely be back! We brought along our little one which wasn't on the booking and this wasn't a problem... The young waiter working last night was fab and on the ball with table service and full of smiles! Your team is great and thank you for making our night last night, food was lovely and great value for money, also lovely wine!!
We popped in today for a family meal.
We received a warm welcome from Craig and the team and excellent service. My 2 girls were particularly impressed with Craig and his kindness.
The menu had great variety and our food was fantastic! Everything arrived fresh, well presented and within a timely manner. The portions were generous too.
This is a real gem of a pub and we're fortunate to be local! 😊
We will definitely be returning!

Best meal in Cotswold.
My husband and I selected this place in an impulse and frankly, in hunger. On our way back from our trip to Cotswold, we stumbled upon this right after our climb from Painswick Beacon.
We hadn't booked in advance but that wasn't a problem. The friendly staff were quick to provide us a comfortable and cosy table.
The menu was a spread of selections with Sunday roast for Easter Sunday. Husband ordered the Lamb Shank which was tender and juicy. It had a load of seasonal vegetables, baked cauliflower which made it worth the price. Excellent quality.
Mine was a burger which was deliciously served with a unique chutney sauce.
Great portion, top quality and excellent staff.
Cannot emphasise enough how polite and cordial the members of their team were. One of the boys came up to our table to share some interesting historical facts and give us more trip ideas when he heard we were visiting from Southampton. Big shout out to him! The lady who served us was delightful and very attentive to our needs.
