We went today for a couple of drinks for a birthday and the pub itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly! We had a great time playing games and enjoying the drinks. I would recommend it highly.
Food is always outstanding likewise service is impeccable. We have visited several times including Xmas Day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us & every course was expectional. This is by far my favourite pub, cannot recomend it enough �
The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the beer is kept well. Couldn't fault this place at all.
My wife and I had a fantastic lunch with you to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary yesterday and wanted to say thank you! The service was brilliant and attentive, and the food was wonderful. The pub itself was homely, welcoming and very comforting. We will definitely be coming back at some point in the future and would recommend The Hodd every chance we get!

We had a wonderfully lazy and enjoyable lunch yesterday. Excellent varied menu (the pork scratchings are something else and the Tunworth sharing board was so, so good!). Good beer, lovely environment and friendly staff. What more is there to want?!
Found the staff very friendly and accommodating after being told there was an hours wait for a sitting if we were happy to sit and have drinks and wait. we just sat down to our orderd drinks to be told the chef was going do his best to serve our order quicker 15 minutes later we were sat at a table. The food was faultless and beautifully presented. The surroundings were warm and cosy. This was my first time here but will definitely be going back again. Perfect.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Fallon and the team at the Hoddington Arms for making my Dad's surprise 60th Birthday lunch on Saturday such a success. From start to finish every effort was made to make sure that all aspects were perfect and it really couldn't have been any better. The food was exquisite and all of the guests commented on how delicious it was and how outstanding the service was. From a personal point of view Fallon made everything so easy and nothing was too much trouble, the whole event surpassed all of my expectations and I am eternally grateful for the wonderful memories you helped us make. :-) xxx

Had a great lunch here. A very nice English Village Pub with a good beer garden and nice character interior. Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was to a high standard. The 'Hodd Burger' was delicious!! Highly recommended.
Nice place, our first date place , but disappointed as we turned up at 9.04pm and they wouldn’t serve food as they stopped at 9pm,😳, nevertheless, it’s a great place, good atmosphere, unfortunately, not that accommodating? They let us have cheese 🧀 which was nice though not enough.
Make your own decisions on this, however, I never turn anyone away from my business as I feel it’s unprofessional.

We had lunch here for my Wife’s birthday and everything from start to finish was perfect. It’s a beautiful pub, with friendly staff and incredible food. My wife and I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place.

The Hoddington Arms is simply fantastic, we went for a Sunday Roast and it was excellent, the Yorkshires are giant !! The beef was cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes were definitely on point. Thanks to the whole team for yet another outstanding Luncheon.
A really warm welcome, excellent food, drink and service. And a lovely atmosphere. What more could you ask for?! We certainly left fully satisfied and feeling like it was worth every penny.

Lovely food and very friendly. The garden looks big, but was closed to winter. Been there twice in the afternoon and always busy. Book before you turn up.
Had a fabulous lunch here today, food was delicious. We were sat in the outdoor marquee and the set up makes you think you're indoors with attention to detail on lighting, decor and heating. Service was attentive and friendly and all in couldn't wish for a better experience.
It is one of our favourite places to go and have a lovely meal with friends. The food is fantastic and the service is brilliant, never pester you but are always there on hand, and very friendly.
Amazing food and amazing service, well worth going here people said it was awesome it defo is, food is great. Not the cheapest but walked away happy we all did.
I stopped here with a push bike & trailer, on a Saturday without a reservation at peak lunch time. Staff were very accommodating despite being fully booked and low staffed. Served me a delicious fish & chips and topped up my water bottles 👌 will come again with a reservation next time 👍
Had a fab meal with our extended family and everything was very good indeed. Steak, fish and chips, Halibut and crème brûlée were all excellent. Keep up the great work. Will be back next time I’m in the area!
Whilst on business in the area I went here for dinner. I sat in the garden and enjoyed my meal and relaxed. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Food was very nice too.
Warm, cosy atmosphere with friendly staff and a great drinks menu (albeit without cocktails). The food was delicious and great portion sizes not too much and not small. In door and outdoor seating with good covid safety measures. Will be coming back (after all the covid madness).
Don’t usually leave reviews, but food and service was excellent and complementary glass and a candle on our dessert for our wedding anniversary!

You will either arrive here by chance from a walk across the countryside, or drive here because you know the winding lanes away from the main highway. Either way, on a summers day there is an ample garden to soak up the sun while enjoying a beer from the selection on tap. Alternately there is a fare range of wines, gins, and whiskies. But mostly I would recommend planning a dinner here. The times I have dined here I have found fresh menus as the seasons change, while being reasonably priced. (Dinning for 4 - Pre dinner drinks, couple bottles of wine, 3 courses and coffee totalled under £100.00)
Possibly the best service I have received in a pub. Staff were truely excellent. Food was also fantastic.
