Our first visit today & found it to be a really lovely pub with great food! Staff were really friendly & helpful, and there was a great atmosphere. It was really busy, yet we didnā€™t wait long at all for drinks or food. The fish & chips was delicious! Will definitely be back!

What a fantastic experience at The Cross Keys. We at Ripple Group had our team lunch there on a sunny Friday afternoon - the staff were super welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The service was top-notch, and they handled our group of 20 seamlessly. The food was delicious and well-received by the team! We got to wrap up our lunch with a drink in the outdoor seating area. Overall, we received great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We'd definitely recommend it!

One of the best pies/puddings Iā€™ve ever had. Get the lamb and mint with homemade chips if you come here! Clear teething problems ref new management and lots of new young staff on bar and waiting so youā€™re partially accepted food taking a while, forgetting cutlery etc but nothing to detract from how nice the food was. Would recommend as long as youā€™re no hurry which we werenā€™t :)

Very fast service and a cosy atmosphere, the real fire is very welcoming after a long walk! I visited in a Saturday afternoon without booking and there were no tables for food available. We still stayed for a drink and the scenery from the outdoor seating area was fantastic. I would recommend booking in advance if you would like to eat though.

We popped in for lunch. The welcome was warm and friendly. The atmosphere and food were excellent and the service second to none. Dog friendly as well. We couldn't have picked better. Thank you and thank you for the sellotape to fix my friend's glasses šŸ¤“

My favourite pub in Manchester! The food is SO good, the staff are SO friendly and the pub has an incredible homely atmosphere! The perfect place after a walk across Saddleworth! Iā€™ve had the roast which was 10/10 and the steak pudding twice which is beautiful! Truly the perfect place for an escape from the city!!

Been here a few times now, really lovely old pub set in a beautiful place.Great food, we have the cheese and onion pie and it is so nice, lovely staff, landlady is really welcoming , dog friendly pub, we have a guide dog and they are always very accomodating with her. Their Christmas decorations are great, came at Halloween too and they really make an effort with the decor. Definitely recommended, will be back soon šŸ˜Š

Lovely friendly atmosphere and waitress who appeared to be doing 3 jobs in one whilst feeling unwell was amazing It was very busy today and she kept apologising for our wait. We noticed she served behind the bar, took orders and appeared to be doing more than one job yet still polite and happy No complaints and food was excellent

I havenā€™t been to the cross keys for years, as the last time I went I felt like it had gone downhill slightly. Went on Sunday and I can honestly say that now that itā€™s under new management, itā€™s the best pub about by far! Amazing location, great food (big portions that are very reasonably priced, just what you expect from a country pub!) and super friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit! Oh and itā€™s dog friendly too, so perfect for heading to after a walk around Saddleworth.
