Lots of selection and products at the right price ......love the restaurant..delicious hot food and nice staff.
A tad disappointed with variety of furnishings this time. In the past you could rely on Roomes to have unique and quality furnishings. Their stock levels and choices imo, are based on trends that can be purchased almost anywhere. Service remains top class and a bright an airy store. Also visited the refurbished Restaurant which is very bright, clean and great variety of food.
Today my daughter lost her purse with her birthday money inside outside the store. We went to Roomes and the two ladies in the Mens department were so helpful and kind, a true credit to the store! They were so thoughtful and empathetic when talking to my daughter, who was quite disheartened, so I really appreciate them. Thank you! We did eventually find the purse which had been handed into store, but even if we didn't have a happy ending I would have still wrote this review.
Lovely store. Posh and clean. Toliets are so clean bright and handy. Never tryed the cafe yet. But will do. Bought lovely presents and gifts from there. Many yrs to sty open, I hope so.
Great department store, with a small shop feel. The staff are very helpful, polite and they make an effort for the customer. Roomes has a great selection of perfumes, aftershaves and make up counters. They also have small departments carrying the latest in many named brands. The household department is quite extensive with higher quality items. The cafe is also pleasant with a variety of foods and hot and cold drinks. Due to limited space they don't always have extensive sizes however they are more than willing to order the correct size if they are able.
Nice department store but compared to the old Bodgers in Ilford or Romford Debenhams it is really small would be nice to see a Roomes in the old Debenhams/BHS space down in Romford
I love this shop, great cafe, fab afternoon tea, nice fashion designer clothes but also some wool and sewing items for those who still like to make their own garments.
Best shop I've been in for a very long time staff were very nice also, felt it was like going back in time to the pleasant past, the shop is very up to date and even the restaurant was very clean with quality food whole experience was so nice
Roomes Fashion and Home is a wonderful store that offers a wide variety of home and fashion items. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer advice and help customers find the perfect item. The selection is vast, with everything from home decorations to clothing and accessories. Prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent. I recently purchased a couch from Roomes and I'm very pleased with it. I would definitely recommend Roomes to anyone looking for great quality items at affordable prices.

Is a nice cool place. Restaurant is very relaxing to have tea and cake. Staff are always friendly and kind except for the guy who seems to be their boss. A bit blunt and not so friendly.
In the other areas of the store, most of the staff specifically on the 1st floor are very nice and always helpful with what ever you need. They sell very good and quality staff for the home.

Lovely dep store, so lovely to see these ships still exist is some areas. Staff in all franchises inside are extremely helpful and friendly. Shop very clean and tidy. Also a nice restaurant on the top floor for hot and cold food. Love taking my mum here, feels relaxed and inviting shop. Highly recommend.
I like Roomes. It is the type of large, multi-purpose shop that seems to have been there for ever.
A good choice of bedding and kitchenware. Think Debenhams but with friendly staff and you won't be far off.
I must admit that I seemed to be the youngest customer by some distance, but that probably had a lot to do with the time of day I went there.

Booked afternoon tea at Roomes Upminster to celebrate my mother's 96th birthday today.
Excellent. Food very well presented and the scones were freshly baked and delicious. The staff were so friendly and even sang happy birthday, which the whole restaurant joined in. Thank you all so much for an occasion we as a family will remember. Thank you for also offering to take a photo as a keep sake for us to look back on.
