We went here for lunch so it was quiet but we enjoyed the authentic Italian ambience and décor. The starters was delicious, especially the fresh, warm bread. Food was really nice and good portions. We didn't give it 5 stars as the menu was a bit basic and we expected a bit more; would have been nice to have more options.

I’ve been here twice now on a recommendation.. tiny place always packed. The service and the atmosphere is lovely with dean Martin playing in the background. The food is to die for.. give it a try you won’t be disappointed

Absolutely love the home cooked, authentic Italian food here. The staff are pleasant and friendly but unobtrusive. The food is of excellent quality and the price reflects this.
Friday night dinner at Sorrento
Arrived around 08:30pm. The restaurant was almost full, always a good sign, glad we had booked a table. The waiters were friendly and welcoming. A good selection to choose from on the menu plus a specials board. I chose the scallops wrapped in bacon. These were perfectly cooked. For main, from the specials board, sword fish in a delicious tomato sauce with capers and black olives, accompanied with a selection of vegetables. The wine list is reasonably priced. After dinner enjoyed a glass Tia Maria. The atmosphere was relaxing. Would recommend a visit.
The best Italian restaurant in all of Havering and Essex in my opinion. Service is immaculate and friendly and the food served is at the cooking level you would expect in Italy. The price point is also more than reasonable to the point where it's worth traveling to if you live further afield in London. You would struggle to spend more than £60 per person for a full 3 course meal and wine. It's also a very good place to celebrate a special occasion and one of the only places where the specials are actually consistently good.
I’ve had many meals at Sorrento over the years and it is such a fantastic restaurant. We feel like we’ve been transported to Italy when there! Food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are flexible for food for our children also. It’s a real gem!

A true authentic Italian Trattoria. Delicious food at reasonable price for the great standard. Incredibly friendly staff who are talkative and helpful. Music that suits the venue and doesn’t play too loud or two quiet. Everything is perfect. Would give 10 stars if I could
