Great helpful staff a good selection of plants etc. Always a member of staff to help with loading heavy items into your boot. I bought a load of bags of gravel and log rolls . I also paid for gravel to be delivered 20bags and the van driver carried them into my garden for me which was brilliant of him .

Had a lovely brunch on a weekend holiday. It was lovely food, some of the best sausages I've had. Amazing service with all the food coming at the same time. And a great spot. Definitely worth the visit.

This is a lovely little garden centre. It's been recently redeveloped and has great stock. I particularly appreciate that they'll carry heavy items to your car for you.

Ellie's food hut offer absolutely fabulous food. Everything from the simple high quality sausage buns, through to tasty daily special meals and home-baked cakes. They have a great range of lovely drinks, snacks and meals and everything is carefully prepared and amazing value for money. You can always expect brilliant customer service too and nothing is ever too much trouble. Today they made us a load of pack lunches in bags with loads of homemade treats for a trip we had planned for a coach load of kids. They were brilliant and went down really well. Highly recommended.

The eating area is set up under an awning with a wood burner in the centre. This kept the whole area warm! Service was a little slow but food was lovely and portions were generous. Safe area for children as it is well back from the car park and there are the shop and garden to explore before or after eating. Also very well maintained toilets on site. Due to Lockdown at present there is a take away service.

Absolutely beautiful afternoon tea the sandwiches were light as a 🪶 pork pies delicious the Pastero de Nato were superb and the hosts very friendly. I will look forward to visiting in warmer weather. Would have liked more tea with it but have to say that the food on other people's plate looked lush! No complaints just "Shut the door " Lovely and good luck 👍

Have been a couple of times to this place and was not disappointed. Sunday lunch was one of the best I've eaten. Not only is the food delicious, the staff are wonderful, will definitely be visiting again.

Met a friend at Ellie's food hut in ulverston. Only just off the A590 and it's a lovely outdoor location of about 6 tables, warmed by patio heaters and quiet. The menu offers a good selection and prices are very reasonable. I had a toasted turkey and cranberry sandwich which was huge and melted in the mouth, trimmed with salad and crisps. And it was all served by a very friendly Christmas elf! What more could you want? Definitely worth a visit.

I was reminded early one Saturday afternoon by a sibling that it was my Grandmother's birthday! Living about 250 miles away I had no choice but to order some flowers. All of the florists in Ulverston were either closed or couldn't guarantee delivery until Monday with the exception of Ellie's Designer Florists. I was sceptical that although stating on their website that they would deliver the same day if ordered by 2pm that in fact they would. Moments after placing the order they phoned me to confirm details. Whilst trying to deliver (only a hour or so later!) they phoned again to say my elderly Grandmother couldn't hear them knocking and that there wasn't anywhere suitable to leave the flowers as it was raining and they didn't want them ruined. Without any quibbling or suggestion of extra cost, they agreed to deliver them instead to my Auntie and Uncle on the other side of town so they could take than to my Grandmother's later that day when visiting. My Auntie and Uncle sent me a photo of the flowers which were wonderful. This is the sort of customer service that we sadly experience less and less nowadays. I would highly recommend Ellie's Designer Flowers...not simply because their bouquet of flowers was beautiful, but because of their excellent customer service.

Very helpful and caring staff. Had to order my plants over the phone and they were delivered free. They are flourishing now, especially with such good weather. Made 2 people very happy. Thank you all.

I recently received a beautifully tied bouquet from Ellie's, which was very easy to transfer to a vase without having to unwrap or cut blooms. The flowers were all white with some greenery which was what my husband who ordered them specified. The roses which were reasonably tight buds on arrival have opened to a really lovely flower. I am hoping they will last well over the regular seven days. I will be recommending to family & friends.

Just changed hands but still a good selection of plants and shrubs and same friendly staff. Now with newly created outside catering area. Was open air last year but now been made into a large undercover area.
