Eagles Head - Ulverston - Photo album

Two great evenings spent in the pub while camping near by. Service was excellent. Very attentive and efficient. Spilt a pint, and another one arrived soon after to replace it. Inside was fully booked, space was made for us outside under an electric heater. Food wise, pizza was okay, burger satisf
We stopped over at this pub after a long walk, and it was a treat. The pub has a very homely atmosphere, nice people around, and the food (I was sceptical at first) was very nice indeed. Had a curry over there with couple of beers and I couldn't be happier. The beer selection is also good if you ar
We ate here today (2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 + 11) after doing the high ropes at Go Ape. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was fab. Overall, we cannot fault our experience at the Eagles Head and we would definitely recommend it.
Perfect little pub with a lovely beer garden. Ideal after a day's walking, and very close to local campsites. Great beers, great pub food - EXCELLENT pie. Absolute must if you're in the area. Dog-friendly place too (and they have their own dog, Bob).
They don’t know this but they’re our saviours! In Oct 22 we had a very wet camping trip to Grizedale full of rain drama and breakdowns, waiting for the AA we descended on them.. kids dogs and all and they fed us Sunday dinner. Tonight April 24 we descended on them again 21 of us and they are so love
The food is excellent, bob the dog is awesome. I literally fell in love with the girl serving drinks. What a Devine being she is.
Great hearty food with good portions. Friendly service and atmosphere with everyone happy to tell you all about the area. Can’t wait to get back
Just had a lovely meal in the Eagle's Head as they had just opened at 5pm. The service was good friendly, everything explained. A meal order was placed at 5:20 and served at 5:50. We both had pies which were well stuffed with various fillings, served with crispy chips (not over done) and 2veg. The
Great pub in a sweet village. They have music sessions but we were too early on our visit. Quirky toilets, a friendly pub dog, and decent Guinness!
Booked ahead to ensure we got a family sized table, staff were all very friendly and helpful — excellent pub grub at a reasonable price, great selection of drinks and beautiful views, great book collection too for those looking for a nice pitstop with something to read - children’s menu was great an
I had a steak pie which was absolutely delicious. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere in the pub, with some impromptu karaoke going on!
Just got back from a week staying in Satterthwaite and went to the pub most nights for a drink. Our dog Pero embarrassed himself but Bob the pub dog had a lot of fun with him. It was lovely to have a pub 2 minutes walk away and especially one that felt cozy. One note... They could make a fortune i
Great pub. Lovely pub dog bob. Warm welcome for our mixed group of young and old. Recommended.
What a fantastic place, real hidden gem. Warm fire, great feel, awesome food (burger and pizza were really tasty) and local pint of bitter. Service was excellent. Highly recommended
Lovely pub decent food and a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and locals and a very floofy dog called Bob who is really friendly and loveable.
Lovely little pub, only had drinks, we wanted to eat but chef not working that day, maybe next time we visit this beautiful area we will check out the food. I remember exactly the date of our visit as it was our wedding anniversary 14th April 2021, we had passed the day before on our bikes on the w
Friendly folk and tasty food but a long wait. Nowhere to go and great atmosphere. The wait was no problem - we enjoyed the atmosphere but for those folks for whom that's important, we did wait one hour from ordering. Not a problem for us!
Friendly Lakeland pub with gud grub and peoples
