A surprising gem in the heart of ulverston. The mill has retained all its olde worlde charm with sympathetic decor and the original millwheel featured at its heart. Lunch was towards top end fare and significantly better than standard pub grub available in your average gastropub. Farely priced. Very enjoyable few hours in the sun. Will definitely return.
Not been here for food in years. Between 4 of us there were no complaints whatsoever. All the food, mains and desserts were gorgeous and staff very attentive.
We were lucky enough to win the facebook roast competition and the food was fab we were really pleased with the prize! We got a very genourous complementary 3 courses and the roast was honestly the best we have ever had in a pub! gorgeous well cooked meat lovely selection of veg and proper gravy!!! thank you very much!!!
Great experience at The Mill last night. All the food was nicely presented and tasted lovely. My steak was perfect, I don't like red or blood!!! The trout was amazing apparently and the monkfish scampi was excellent! We didn't realise it was steak night so we were pleasantly surprised at the price. We will return �

Just had Sunday lunch, starter had a little undercooked scallop but removed from bill no fuss, and the other 2 on the plate were lovely, Sunday beef was nicest we've ever had out in town, and service was friendly and efficient. Great value for money definitely be back!
We had Sunday dinner and it was absolutely amazing. I took the dog in the day before and they were so friendly giving him water and treats. Fabulous pub I would highly recommend a visit!

Absolutely loved our meal last ngt ❤great menu,great value for money we had the goats cheese soufflé and chicken and ham tarrine,for main we had sea bass and lamb tagine,great value for money 💰 staff very plesent,we were looked after very well can't wait to go back,really enjoyed the new menu

Wow.. not been into Ulverston for 20 years. What a treat having a coffee at The Mill. Amazing space and design. Friendly for everyone.. we saw groups of ladies lunching, mother and baby groups, business meetings and tourists alike. Would recommend highly
Eaten here 3 times recently in different groups, we've all enjoyed our meals, tonights lamb shoulder was very good, I enjoyed the game pie last week and the Christmas menu was superb!
We love The Mill for any special occasion meal. The Sunday dinner is delicious and only £13.50, such a bargain. Have never been disappointed with the food, this is where we bring everyone that comes to visit us in Ulverston. Highly recommend the roast, fish and chips, steak and ale pie and the chicken & chorizo risotto.
*Had to amend review. Went in on Mother’s Day to treat mum and we were all disappointed to see roast size and sides had shrunk considerably since last year. Disappointing.
First time visiting here for food. It took a little while to come but it was very busy. The selection of drinks offered here is one of the best. Plenty of options and types. My chips were slightly undercooked but I'll assume that's a one off. Table service is quick due to the use of electronic callers. We will definitely visit again.
Lovely food, staff, and the pub is very beautiful.
Not enough staff at the bar. One guy for twenty customers on a bank holiday Saturday night. Other staff member just stood about looking and acting despondent. Otherwise the Mill is a good place to eat and drink, a bit pricey but not the dearest in town. Good menu, and well stocked bar. Atmosphere is great.
Awesome pub, food and staff. Made to feel very welcome. With fantastic service amazing food/tapas and atmosphere. What more could you ask for.

Had a lovely evening with friends in here on Friday. We had a bit of a wait for food, but that's fine because when it arrived, it was delicious 😋👌 Even stayed for the live music at 9 pm and that was good too. Staff friendly, good value for money and lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend this establishment 👍
I've eaten quite a few times in the last couple of weeks. Great food on every occasion. Service great most of the time, however particularly great service from Jade. Lovely atmosphere. Child and dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Ulverston.
I went to The Mill with a couple of friends for some food and drink, we were greeted by lovely staff and shown to our seats. I had the chicken and chorizo pie with mash and veg and it was outstanding. We were waited on by the manager, Jade, who was fantastic and ensured we were constantly seen to, 10/10 customer service and a 10/10 experience!
Gorgeous spot, loads of places to sit. Indoors and outdoors. Food is gorgeous, thought they're not overly generous on the portions. Service was impeccable. Will come again.

Food is fantastic, great menu which is not over complicated or too many choices, but what you get is very tasty and well presented. Very good choice of beers. A very comfortable bar and restaurant for a nice meal and a few beers. The staff are very attentive and on the ball when it comes to looking after the customers they are an asset to the business, well done guys.
Came for a few drinks earlier this week. Lovely waitress, dark blonde hair with glasses was very attentive.

Visited The Mill purely as they had vegan options. Ordered spiced carrot soup, beetroot and vegan feta salad and two cauliflower risottos. The food was fabulous, good sized portions, satisfying and full of flavour.. The cauliflower, spinach and pine nut risotto was the Rolls Royce of risottos, I've had some terrible risottos in the past, chef did a great job with his version. Service was great too, our waiter had only worked there a week having previously worked at Wray Castle, he was brilliant. Would definitely revisit when next in Ulverston.
