Enjoyed a decent pint and home cooked food here today. Has always been a great country pub, but has struggled since covid, through no fault whatsoever of the excellent landlord.

Great little country pub, lovely food and quality beer. Landlord in particular Paul goes above and beyond to please customers. Hope the locals use and cherish this pub as it will not survive without local support.
I have lived in the local area for less than a year and been to the pub on numerous occasions. They have always made me feel welcome and have been very friendly.
On today's occasion we popped down unfortunately just after 2pm which is when they stopped serving food, however the pub staff offered us
Lovely little pub, great location after or during a ride out. Bikers are welcome there to, the sign says, Me n my hubby was certainly welcomed.
After a bad start to my visit I stopped here for something to eat.

Friendly welcome and service. Food specials menu offered excellent value and generous portions. Fresh vegetables and choice of mashed, new potatoes or chips (home made). Selection of real ales (not sampled on this occasion).
Went for the usual Sunday Lunch (carvery) and what a joy it was. Food was cooked to perfection and it was served hot. I think they had a special weekend because it was only £6.00 each but I would certainly be prepared to pay more. Only downside was the beer is a bit expensive. £3.30 for John Smiths?
Amazing Sunday roast dinner - best ever! Week night dining lovely too. Good value tasty food. Don't be put off by the exterior.
Lovely evening and good food. Paul , the landlord was very friendly. Will visit again
Lovely meal by the log burner. Friendly staff, will definitely return.
Friendly staff, prompt service, followed current Covid guidance and used common sense with it. Popped in for two soft drinks whilst cycling past. Pleasant outdoor seating.
