We've tried all the curry houses in Uckfield and long been fans of the one across the road BUT these guys have something special going on.
1) Something about their recipes mean you don't end up with that bloated feeling 2) portions are not scrimped on 3) the food is delicious 4) the prices are reasonable and 5) the service is excellent.
Friends and family have said how "Excellent" Bengal Spice is compared to their own curry houses. For such a small place (takeaway only) their offering is phenomenal.

On time, polite, food hot, tasty and nicely presented. Popodums and the salad really fresh. Meat really tender. Only dropped a star as the mint sauce tasted a bit chemically.
Iβve tried pretty much all the Indian takeaways in the area and this is the one I always go back to. Good sized portions, great variety and the quality is top notch. Nice friendly staff and drivers. Highly recommended from me!

Excellent curry takeaway. I had tikka balti which was full of flavour and the chicken was tender. Everything else was all very good and the service was polite.

Have had 2 takeaways so far and both have been superb. Chicken tikka is soft and succulent, the sauces are packed with flavour, the sides are cooked perfectly and not swimming in oil like some other establishments. its always delivered piping hot too. So glad we found this gem of a curry house. Had i of known about this place before we moved here, i would have happily driven (from Heathfield, 11miles) to collect it.
Moved to Uckfield from Heathfield and a neighbour here recommended Bengal Spice.
Second curry we have had delivered from them tonight and so far out of several restaurants we have tried itβs ranking tops with us too, delicious well made deep tasty sauce, moist chicken, (I always tikka it then pick a curry) a wonderful treat and a welcome find. ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Great local Indian takeaway! I used to live in Burgess Hill (their other branch) and moved to Uckfield a few years ago. Delighted that my favourite Indian takeaway has followed me! Amazing food, great service and wonderful staff! Would defo recommend.
Order from here a couple times a month since they opened. Food has always been consistent, delicious and even my Indian family members approve. The guy I speak to when I call up on a Sunday is always super friendly, Cheers
Great service & delicious food. Ordered a takeaway and the person who answered the phone was very polite and our food was ready to collect in 25 mins. Very clean inside the shop and again, polite service. We ordered a king prawn biryani, chicken tikka biryani, Bombay aloo, saag aloo, peshwari naan and vegetable samosa and it was all fresh and delicious. Great portion sizes. Highly recommend.

I don't live in the area so this choice was a stab in the dark. What a good choice I made! On point service from the first point of contact. Friendly, efficient and very quick service. The food was fresh, beautifully cooked to perfection and delivered very promptly, with a smile ππ. I would highly recommend and will certainly order again when I'm in the area. I don't have any photos as I was keen to eat and forgot to take them!
How I wish I could respond to negative reviews.. In particular, Lisa Harpers one star review. I recently watched a TV review about ordering through Apps such as Just Eat, Deliveroo etc and how the local businesses are charged 30% commission. Lisa Harper attempted to order via Just Eat and received poor service. That's not the fault of the establishment you're ordering from. You may not know that, but having watched this programme I've learnt, order direct. I've not used Apps to order, ever, and never will, because I believe in looking after local businesses. This is not directed at Lisa Harper, at all, but, try calling your chosen restaurant /takeaway direct. You'll undoubtedly have a better experience,. I guarantee it.
First time ordering from bengal spice, food was excellent and well presented π would definitely use again!

Arrived here tonight 10 mins before they closed,always friendly and food is the best takeaway in Uckfield by far.Food is so good and reasonably priced.Never disappointed.
