This pub is under new management. They’ve only been here a few weeks and only started doing food recently. Slightly biased as we live locally and have been visiting this pub for over 30 years but the new people are trying really hard and on the performance so far things are going well. Lovely welcome, friendly staff and good food. Excellent beer. What’s not to like.

The menu changes every day but you can trust everything's ng will be great. The fact they change up the menu so often based on what they can get fresh locally shows how talented the chefs are. Leave room for drinks and desert after dinner! This is a great place to have a great dinner with no rush. Enjoy!

Sunday carvery - parents especially really loved it. Great vegetable options, and very nice meat choices. Wish more pubs did Sunday dining like this. Great atmosphere, excellent Harveys and all-around lovely afternoon. Thank you Pig and Butcher! We'll be back!

Had a Sunday carvery here a couple of weeks ago with 3 friends. Lovely service in a cosy atmosphere. The standard of the food is top notch with scrumptious gravy and fluffy/cripsy roast potatoes. I will definitely be returning!

Another great Sunday lunch with the family, in my opinion not only the best value around our area but also the best food too. And believe me we have tried all the others! You can expect a proper carvery lunch with a choice of 3 meats, plenty of vegetables, plus Yorkshire pudding, gravy, sauces etc. The small portion is such good value and is plenty for kids and senior citizens alike. But if you are really hungry, go for the Standard size which allows you to have two different meats on a bigger plate - so more room for that extra roastie (or 2)! All this plus a good range of well kept Harvey's real ales, often 3 or 4 to choose from. Perfect.

The food here was good. But there was one big problem. The food took ages to come. It was incredibly understaffed and there was one poor lady going back and forth doing so much work. I heard that some employees were on vacation. They shouldn’t have left the pub like this.

This was my first time at the Pig and Butcher, with 17 members of my family. We arranged a visit for Sunday carvery, after a 2 mile ramble. We were greeted by a roaring fire in the bar, which had a light modern interior and the restaurant area was very clean and tidy. Everyone enjoyed their meal, which was super tasty, unlike previous carvery's we've had, which have been rather dry and bland. Parsnips, pork crackling and red cabbage were particularly delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, even offering to swap a couple of sides for the fussiest of the children! Mums said the puddings were yummy, dads were delighted to see Harveys and ample draft beers and ciders on sale, and the children had fun playing in the outside play area. Thank you Pig and Butcher, we will definitely be visiting again x

Took my auntie mid week. Had the home made lasagna and it was gorgeous! Melt in the mouth pasta! Staff were lovely too. Didn't have starters nor desert and went home with a full content tummy!

Absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch!! Good selection of meat that isn't dry or burnt. Cooked to perfection. Fresh veg and absolutely banging roast potatoes. Also caters for people with special dietary requirements - they went that little bit further which really made our visit even more memorable. Excellent!
