Great food, friendly staff , traditional country pub ambiance, wide range of gins, wines - still owner run. A must if you are in the area!
Superb again!! An early evening anniversary supper. The fillet steak Marilyn Monroe was the best piece of steak I have ever eaten π₯©ππ» Great hosts and a memorable occasion, thank you.
Best pub in England! Truly a delicious pie and best company.
Excellent food, service, ambience.
Will return....

Celebrated my graduation here last week and it was exceptional. All the food and drink was great, good potions, cooked to perfection and a wide choice of dishes. The service was excellent and I was even asked if my steak was cooked to my liking, a brave but perfect question to feel like a valued customer. We discussed how soon we could go back in the car!
Great food and great service, many thanks.
Fantastic food, can't wait to go back !!
Delicious food, could have more knowledge/offers on cocktails (as basic as a Long Island) but as it is a village pub Iβm happy with leaving 5 stars
A very warm and friendly place. The menu choice is ideal, not too much, but very well balanced. More gastro pub. Good wine choice. Highly recommended. We will be back.
Amazing roast dinner but unfortunately over priced !
Food was very good in cosy olde worldly pub surrounding. More choice on menu would be good....and not so expensive.
Nice menu's nice food. And nice to sit out the back in sunshine to eat π
Always good food and not stupid prices.
Rural location typical country pub..Nice menu but a bit pricey..Good beer garden.
I always like a visit here. A cozy pub where more or less all of the time you're made to feel welcome. Once upon a time kids weren't that popular here but this is not the case any longer. Good pub food cooked to a good to very good standard. Sometimes when the team are flat out though, waits can become long and mistakes are made but definitely not more than anywhere else. One of the top three pubs in the area and sits near some good walks. Fair prices, good product, kind people within.
A lovely pub lunch experience recommend if you are in the area.
Had a very enjoyable meal at The Peacock Inn tonight, which really made up for our disaster dinner somewhere else last night. The steak and Guiness pie was excellent as was the fishcake, and we loved the cheeseboard we had to follow. Friendly service, fresh homemade food, and a nice atmosphere, definitely recommended!
We went for a Sunday lunch there great service and delicious food would thoroughly recommend this place
Front of house staff could have been a lot more friendly and greet people with a smile. Food really good although disappointed at the lack of gluten free options. We also asked about a bowl of water for the dogs we were told they don't have any odd as they are dog friendly.
Lovely food, and very warm and cosy, only thing is tables were very close, they could do with taking 1 table away, but I suppose they are trying to get as many customers in as possible. Would definitely go back.
We really enjoyed our lunch today ( Sunday) good roast menu and nice big portions. Delicious desserts snd we all enjoyed the cheesecake. Lovely friendly service and great pub. Will definitely be back.
Only thing missing was a veggie roast option on the specials board that we later overhead someone ordered via a veggie option on the menu with the roast.
Delicious thanks all
Brilliant food excellent service and dog friendly and serve food all day. Really enjoyed this down on holiday and have been several times. took friends as well on our second visit. HIghly recommend this place.
