Lovely food, lovely staff and tasty vegan options; my kind of place �
We live in East Grinstead and love coming to Hartfields for a lovely breakfast.
Of all the times we have been to Hartfields, we have never had a bad word or any cause for complaints about either the staff or quality of food.
Brilliant food and lovely helpful and friendly staff, I recommend hartfields to everyone I know, a really lovely local business
Just popped in for a quick cuppa with my mum and had the best Latte I've ever had!!!! Such a lovely little place, great atmosphere & very friendly staff. We need to visit again to try the food as it looked delicious!
Very well presented food and coffee, good for vegetarians too. Service still friendly despite daunting expansion!

Hey guys, apart from Hartfields having such a warm, community feel, welcome atmosphere, it is run incredibly efficiently thanks to all its wonderfully, smilie staff. As well as maintaining a professional efficient role, they also speak to the customers in such a down to earth manor with banter here and there. I couldn't feel more comfortable around people. The coffee is amazing and taken care over when made and can only be enjoyed. (Matt = perfectionist right there). Love the chats I have with Matt about my biz. Very flattered that he asks how things are going every now and then. Just shows the staff at Hartfields are genuinely caring. Plus Liddie's interesting plans about travelling, wanting to teach and more. Also, not forgetting what an amazing job everyone does behind the scenes. My point is that they don't speak to people any differently to how they would usually. Just fun, laughter and chit chat all the time while getting on with the job at hand. Very impressed. VERY. Love to all xxx

Went for dinner last night at Hartfields. The food was delicious and the service was great too. The waitress went out of her way for us as she popped out to source a bottle of alcohol free beer as my husband was driving. Nothing was too much trouble ☺️
Very impressed with the service we received today, the whole team were friendly and welcoming of our doggie on a cold a frosty morning for breakfast. The food was of good quality and service was prompt. Not the cheapest of places but happy to pay extra for a cosy place with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Toilets were clean and pleasant to use too, which I always feel makes a difference. Plenty of gluten free and dairy free / vegan/ vegetarian options too 🤩
Really nice cafe in Uckfield Town centre. Has a great reputation & been recommended a few times to us. We went for lunch & had 2 different sandwiches & a kids meal.
I had the BLT which was one of the best I've had out, lots of bacon, fresh ingredients, nice thick tasty granary bread & a decent sized side salad. Really enjoyed it. The kids meal was a good size, hot & fresh with tasty ingredients. Service was good. A little wait for food but it was a busy Friday lunchtime. All very fresh.
The burgers looked great, so we'll try those next time.
Recommend a visit.

Lovely place, we ordered orange juice which was very tasty, freshly made, hash breakfast and eggs with salmon and avocado.. Everything delicious, very good service.
Clean café and clean perfumed toilets.

Lovely find. Inside and outside seating. Food was excellent and served hot. Vegans are catered for too. Lovely cakes but resisted temptation. Really give it a visit.
Wonderful place for good food and drinks with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Breakfast/brunch and lunch options are great, with specials changing every day. Vegan/veggie/gluten free options are worth asking about to be sure they suit you. Portions are generous but not crazy and prices are reasonable.

Absolutely delicious coffee, rich and full-bodied. The cakes were heavenly, too! All topped off with very warm and welcoming staff. Definitely one for repeat visits.

Highly recommended. Sat outside with my little dog after ordering myself a drink and a cake, and a sausage for my dog. When the sausage arrived they had not only cut it up into little bitesize pieces for my Chihuahua, but had also waited for it to cool before bringing our order. They also put a bowl of water beside the table him. Honestly, I don't think my dog has ever been treated so well anywhere before. Top marks!
Update. Visited 11/4/11/22. Just had a coffee, but really lovely. A lovely place to eat in, or out, weather permitting. A good venue/menu and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
