We have been in here twice now while on holiday in llwyngwril at my van first time as we were told about it by someone as my husband likes decent beer second time was because my husband wanted too ,as he says it's the only place around here that sells proper beer , and it's tastes good , they are child and dog friendly and lovely staff it was very busy on both occasions we had to go to the room upstairs and sit in the corner by the bar on the tall stools seeing as they were 6 plus three Children the bar man told us that we were welcome to move the furniture and put two of the table and chairs together which I though was really nice of them haven't eaten there but the food does look yummy and plenty of it so I think this place is going to one of our locals when we are down at the van
Great location overlooking the beach. Lovely decor and ambience. We didn't eat there as we arrived too late but the food smelled amazing and those eating were saying how good it was. Friendly bar staff to boot. Definitely worth a visit to this little gem.
Went down to the Slipway for lunch today. Really enjoyed our meals would definitely recommend you visit the Slipway for lunch . We have also been there for an evening meal best in town

First time at the pub with family great place lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly to so if you are ever passing through just pop in oh and food excellent to
Architecturally an unimpresive ugly building but dont judge this book by it's cover!! Once inside you will find a warm modern cosy pub with very welcoming staff.
The food was excellent and servive was great. We had a table upstairs which gave us fantastic views of the sea. Will definitely visit again.
Delicious food - loved the Hunters Chicken and family also enjoyed their meals. My husband says it’s a great pint as well! Friendly & professional staff. Hope to visit again soon. Thanks
Great pub, overlooking sea fantastic food, would definitely recommend
Lovely crisp cold pint. And a great burger... lush place..
Lovely cosy pub downstairs and a great restaurant with beautiful views upstairs.
Great, welcoming and polite staff with great food!
What else do you want!
Just what Tywyn needed somewhere to eat and drink( real ale) on the sea front. Great staff every time I've been in. Outside balcony and beer garden overlooking the sea _ Perfect
Great staff and great food great value for your money even better now they have carling
Thank you all we had Lovely Sunday lunch
Great food and service
Great little pub, good range of drinks, haven't eaten here recently, but food was fine last time. Toilets clean, service good. Small amount of outdoor seating and a small balcony upstairs. They sell Aspall cider, which is always a welcome bonus. Restaurant seating upstairs, but you can eat in the bar. Great setting, close to the beach, handy for a refreshment or two before/during and/or after a sunbathe.
Went in today on spur of the moment after walking the dog down the beach. Choice of three meats (Beef, Turkey or Pork), service was very quick maybe no more than 5 minutes. A big bowl of peas, carrots, cabbage and boiled potatoes to go with the meal and a bowl of cauliflower cheese (plus a big gravy boat as well).
I would have liked to enjoy a pudding but I couldn't eat another mouthful, a very enjoyable meal, great service and our dog was happy as they gave him a handful of treats as well.
Fabulous views from this beach front pub. Great selection of food with a restaurant to eat in upstairs (where the views can be enjoyed. No dogs allowed) or also in the small Bar area downstairs (dogs allowed). Huge selection of gins and rums etc as well as on draught lagers, cider and Guinness etc and even small bottles of Prosecco🥂 Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely one to try when visiting Tywyn.
Been here a few times when we visit Tywyn. Always really good service, really good portion sizes and the food is great. The atmosphere is really good as well, very quiet and chill most of the time, especially if you’re going off peak.
Very good Sunday lunch. I had a nice nut roast, hubby had a very generous piece of beef. Followed by very good apple pie and ice cream. Moved outside after mains to the balcony overlooking the sea.
Ale was good and reasonably priced.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.
But Quite a few tables reserved. We just managed to get a table and it was quite early evening 😕
Quite surprised they allow reservations As it is a small restaurant . Quite a few people were turned away as tables were reserved for later in the evening, one group had 8 people - dont think this is good Business. 🤔 Worth noting get in early or reserve.
Food was beautiful and the onion rings are huge😁 worth the wait.
Went here with family for a Sunday lunch, portions were large and quality of ingredients very good, lunch times can be busy but the staff work diligently to keep waiting time to a minimum, a member of our group is a vegan and there was a suitable meal for them even down to a separate bowl of cooked vegetables without the butter, dining room located on the first floor with a lift available. Washed the meal down with a pint of real ale (Wyre Valley pale ale) which was well conditioned, all in all a good experience and I'm happy to recommend the Victorian Slipway
Inexpensive good service, decent choice of beers and decent food. For a seafront bar the prices are very keen. Always feel comfortable in there 😌
Nice place for drinks and meals ,staff are friendly. It is dog friendly so a bonus.
Lovely meal and a superb setting, the upstairs restaurant has a wonderful view of the ocean.
Ribeye steak & Ribs for the wife, very large portions, service was great, prompt and friendly.
Would I return? Most definitely.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff in an idyllic spot overlooking the beach. Great spot to watch the sports. Even had some complementary roasties and yorkies on the bar to fill our hungry stomachs up!
Stopped in while we we're watching the Tonfanau racing. Good variety of drinks and a good atmosphere.
Only problem is they stip serving food at 20:00. Way too early I think.
Booked for a Sunday lunch. 3 choices of meat available together with 2 sizes of meals and selection of puddings. Well worth a visit. Good value, friendly staff and clean premises.
Very nice meal. Full rack of ribs with chips and salad. Would recommend.
Nice chaps serving at the bar, good outdoor seating & drinks and an overall friendly vibe. Would come for a pint again!
Lovely Pub, With great views out onto the beach, Good selection of drinks and the food was beautiful, Staff are very friendly there is a Garden available to sit outside, Well Worth a visit
