I highly recommend the Salt Marsh Kitchen. We were staying in the area for my 40th and I booked here based solely on tripadvisor/facebook reviews. It lived up to all my expectations and more. The food was amazing, tasty and generous portion sizes. We booked quite late and were a large party of 17 and Scott went above and beyond to accommodate us (including opening up the shop next door so that my boyfriend could add some finishing touches to a surprise birthday cake he had made and brought with us!). Thanks to Scott and the team for an amazing end to my birthday weekend!

Came to Tywyn for a weekend break and was recommended The Salt Marsh Kitchen. Had a wonderful meal with friends, I had Thai fish curry which was delicious, the owners were very attentive and made us most welcome along with a wonderful ambience and vibe, my only fault was that I was too full for a desert ! I will definitely return here when I visit Tywyn again

We walked 4 miles along the beach from Aberdovey to eat here (& back again!) and it was well worth the effort. I was lucky enough to sample Asian Noodle Broth, Thai Seafood Curry and a Dark Chocolate Torte - all full of flavour and skill - we will be back again ❤️

Definitely the culinary highlight of our holiday - the only issue was deciding what to choose! Hubby was a little apprehensive as a confirmed meat eater but he was well-catered for too.... Mushroom bruschetta, sirloin steak and warm chocolate and banana cake....all of which he devoured! As a lover of fish I was spoilt for choice but finally settled on the mackerel starter, followed by sea bass and a gorgeous tangy lemon posset. The food was all beautifully presented, piping hot and tasted divine. There was a good choice of reasonably priced wine and the service was efficient and very friendly. If you're in the area don't miss the chance to visit!

With my parents and sisters for a celebratory meal. I was extremely impressed with the breadth of the menu and how sensitively the ultra-fresh seafood was prepared. My scallops and prawns were sensational! Delicious wine paring and outrageous desserts. Worth the trip all the way from San Francisco!

THE best Jus for the lamb. Sour to the sweet of the meat, in a subtle way. Clearly a lot of work goes into sourcing the accompanying kale too, which was sooo tasty.

If I could give more stars, I would! Salt Marsh Kitchen is a phenomenal establishment effortlessly delivering a variety of delicious, creative - yet familiar - dishes which focuses on fresh produce and is, of course, inspired by the sea. The restaurant itself is quaint and cosy (make sure you book ahead in the busy holiday season), accompanied by attentive yet relaxed service. As for the food - what a delight. From flavourful starters, such as Pork Belly Bao Buns, to hearty Bass Panzanella and the unmissable Coconut Panna Cotta - every mouthful at Salt Marsh Kitchen is a flavour sensation. Drinks are also quite tasty too, with a fabulous selection of Welsh gins plus an extensive wine menu available. Overall, Salt Marsh Kitchen must not be missed if you're visiting Tywyn. We absolutely love it here and can't wait to return again, and again, and again!

Great little restaurant, menu is very good. Tried the scallops for starters which were cooked to perfection. My partner had the tuna which melted in your mouth! paella was beautiful presented and very tasty. The curry was mind blowing! Service is very good with both the owners very friendly and spent time speaking to us about the selection of cook books they use. If you're in the area Makesure you reserve here! You won't regret it!

Very cosy restaurant, friendly stuff and divine food. Very satisfied and they were even open in January. Had a bisque for starter, spanish seafood stew and sea bass for main, biscoff caramel cheesecaje and coconut panacotta for desserts. Also serves welsh wiskey, ale and cider. Would highly recommend.

The best food on the whole of the West Coast, and I do not say that lightly!! The prawns were ginormous, the scallops were meaty and sweet, and the dressed Crab was absolutely exquisite. And dont even get me started on the service, the owners are the nicest and friendliest people and they really made it an experience to remember. Thanks again for a bangin meal - 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend or colleague.
