Lovely old pub with oodles of charm and character. Big outdoor seating area with a separate area for smokers (which I really appreciate as a non-smoker). Really nice Sunday roast. Great pub for dogs.

Nice pub with a few different rooms and seating outdoors. Standard Cornish Ales. Food is excellent quality and well cooked - presentation of food is a bit pretentious but very tasty. Only downside is the Musak both in the pub and in the garden - totally unnecessary in my view and not to my taste.

Family birthday get together 6 + 2 children. Amazing food, huge portions. Really helpful with ALLERGIES, They double CHECKED. Mussels were particularly good and the fish stew. Service was excellent and will definitely eat here again.

Very friendly staff, very accommodating when we booked a table for my husband's birthday. Absolutely delicious food! Great portion sizes. Outdoor seating so the kids can have fun too. Very often has something going on. Always a great atmosphere.

Superb good, great service and top value for money. First time visitors, came in for family meal at lunchtime, burgers, fish and chips, both spot on and great value for £10. Some great items around on the walls and a brilliant collection of vintage football programmes!!

Excellent surf n turf starter. Sardines main. My partner ordered scallop starter, beef pie and sticky toffee pudding. Really well cooked and great portion sizes. Really recommended. Huge change from yesterday's 'top class ' beach side restaurant which was really quite rubbish. The New inn by contrast was excellent.

Great little pub tucked away in a cornish village. Very reasonable priced Drinks and food. Good friendly service. Visited twice during the week we were there. Try the curried mussels. Best I have had in a vert long time

This is an absolute gem of a pub. The food and service was top notch. I ordered the pork belly which was sensational and my husband had the steak which was cooked to his liking and had onion rings that were to DIE for. I was pleased to see that the children's menu was not the usual beige fare rather child sized portions of the adult menu which my son loved because it made him feel like a grown up. We will certainly be back because I need to try the desserts. Well worth a trip but please book in advance because Monday was busy (another sure sign of an amazing venue)

Average food in a poor seating area for a family reunion. Staff were friendly and kind but my son's really not up to standard for the £23 cost. £178 to listen to the next tables dog barking every two minutes

Lovely friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed a huge portion of river mussels! Not sure why they’re served with chips, although they were lovely. Bread would have been better to soak up the creamy garlic sauce. Gets rather busy so book ahead if possible. Quick service, food was lovely and hot. Will be back for the belly pork on our next visit

My friend and I ate Sunday lunch and it was lovely. I had the nut roast which was the best I have had. Proper Yorkshire pud and beautiful vegetables. My friend greatly enjoyed the chicken. Everything was perfectly seasoned. We actually returned on Monday. I had the Ciabatta with the lemon prawns, beautiful! The lemon was not over done. The accompanying salad and home made coleslaw were, again, seasoned to perfection. Luckily was visiting area from Herts, would be bankrupt if lived close by!! The people were very welcoming and friendly.

What a knock-out pub! Lovely staff, great food and lots of space inside and outside to find a comfy spot. We brought our 20-month-old, and they had a kids menu and spaces he was welcome to be. We will be back!

Found accidentally , but so pleased. Last Wednesday we visited on a cold wet April morning. We intended to just have a coffee and move on. Roaring fire , lovely warm welcome from bar staff. Delicious looking menu, so we decided to eat, the food was superb and so tasty. We soon became warm and refreshed. We will definitely visit again.

Not the best occasion (wake) but the venue and it's staff made everything and everyone feel at ease. Allowing us to give our loved one a send off fitting of her.

Had a Sunday lunch here which was excellent, really good food, cooked well, plenty of it and great value for money. The pub is in a lovely location with several different dining areas and looks great for a summer-time drink in the garden too. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.
