At the back of the Grand Hotel Tynemouth easily accessable, but not easily seen it nestles behind the hotel. A REAL ALE bar with good choice of ale, pleasent attentive staff and food to boot.

Introduced to Copperfield's by my niece and her husband Colin I loved the food and the prices are very reasonable.

Love to walk along the coast into Tynemouth for food and a few beers at Copperfields. Always a good selection of cask and keg on the bar. Best of all there is a permanent Twobytwo cask line on which rotates though there great unfined and unfiltered beers. Food is excellent and the bar staff supply a great friendly service. Recommended 5*

Really cosy friendly pub. Great atmosphere makes you want to visit again. Staffs friendly and the pubs clean and tidy. As were the toilets. Bus service runs close by as does the metro. Just short walk from beach also, it's next to the grand hotel. Would i return again yes I would as the drinks are nice and price ok. Been before and would return recommended to family and friends x

Lovely local feel pub at the back of the Grand Hotel. Delicious looking specials board today and a good collection of local ales. Had a beer from Cullercoats Brewery today and Guineas flavoured crisps! Good simple menu, though would say a little pricey for what they are. Lovely views from the hotel, however the pub is at the back of the building and so the views are only there when you step outside. Disabled access and baby changing facilities! Thanks for a good afternoon drink! Had the football on the television as well!

A fantastic, traditional pub of the sort that is rapidly dying out. Friendly bar staff, traditional bar with foot rest, coat hooks and barstools, no TV, great beer, many locals propping up the bar, and filling the tables. Bring back the culture of social, friendly drinking.

Nice bar - doesn't feel like a typical hotel bar. Feels like a pub in its own right. Polite staff and sport on the TV. Only disappointment was the Guinness was not poured very well but you cant have it all haha!

I like this bar as it's not too big or crowded. It is a bit away from Front Street and they have a small but reasonable selection of ales. The staff are helpful and friendly. We visited last Sunday afternoon and ended up having a Sunday roast which was really excellent.

Realy nice proper little pub with a fine chose of ales and great pub food can't wait for it to reopen after all this is over! Love walking in though the grand hotel entrance and finding my way though to the bar at the back! Perfect location for a beer pre or post beach

Enjoyed a large Gin and Tonic and my husband enjoyed a pint. Most of the pubs that night were showing the Newcastle match so they were very noisy and full. The Copperfield had the match on the screens but the sound was off so it didn't stop us from having a conversation. Comfortable pub.👍

Cosy, friendly bar with a great selection of drinks. The well organised measures in place for Covid-19 did not detract from our enjoyment at all.
