Great food, Service is super. Pay after you've eaten. At first I found this odd. Simply cos I don't eat out a lot lol. I really do prefer to pay as I order. Overall Lovely place to have something to fill you up when out and about in tynemouth.

Fish and chips were lovely, the cafe was clean and had plenty of seats, but we were a bit disappointed at the lack of senior meals for some of our party, they ended up buying the more expensive option. The toilets were clean.

It was a very cold evening and we found a very warm restaurant near the sea in the main road in Tynemouth. The service was excellent, we could sit down in a very nice table, the restaurant seems you are inside a ship and decorated with cosy lights. The fish and chips was served very hot and in a take away box with proper cutlery. They were cleaning the floor as it was late but they attended to everyone. Highly recommended.

We had a very memorable takeout from here on our last visit about 16 years ago and today had the chance to revisit it. It was still great. The place is busy and we were lucky to have found seats inside. The portions are generous and the fish, the batter, the chips, curry sauce and mushy peas were all spot on. I love their box packaging too.

My 'go-to' chippy when visiting Tynemouth. Always get a takeaway to be eaten on the headland overlooking the Tyne. Fish was smaller than I'd had before but flesh was tasty and batter crisp. Chips, as ever, were lovely.

It was pouring with rain and couldn't resist a portion of chips! What chips! Best I have ever tasted! 10/10! The staff were friendly and great. Suggested I ate them in their cafe bit as it was raining so hard! Thank you. Will definitely be back! Well done!

I'm a massive chippy fan so I wasn't going to miss out on this chippy as the air bnb owner said it was a must visit in the area. It lived up to it's reputation as a great chippy. The food was fantastic. Freshly cooked chips whilst a while to cook were worth the wait. The place is clean and the staff, whilst busy were polite. It's obviously popular with locals and visitors alike and I would definitely visit again. My only complaint was the cost. Our usual order for two people that we get at home was £9.00 more expensive than our local chippy, which was a bit of a shock.

This is the best fish and chips around and the staff here are so friendly. Had chips and curry sauce with batter bits and it was absolutely delicious and well deserved after a few beers the night before!! Well worth a visit if you are in Tynemouth. Thanks!!

Rocking fish and chips. The shrimp was the best though! Calamari not bad but came in third. We didn’t get napkins and they closed for the night just after they gave us the food - the napkins are really necessary ! 😅

Visited Marshalls on Saturday of a busy bank holiday weekend to find restaurant closed but takeaway open snd tables available outsìde. Luckily the sun shone and we enjoyed fish & chips and sausage and chips while sitting at an outside table. Food was delicious and piping hot. Salt & vinegar was provided on the tables and the queue for takeaway was slow but worth the 15 minute wait. Just thankful it did not rain!

Visited on a busy Friday night so there was a queue (made worse by several large orders) and have to admit felt the food was rushed, not the cleanest, and some of it left out for a while. Still, we were served by a young gentleman, think his name was Callum? And despite the stress of the rush, was very polite, professional and served really good portions for us. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting to pay (£23 for two meals) but the food was still delicious and clean tables outside for use. I'm sure if we visited at a less busy time, it would be 5 stars.

Always my go-to spot for fish and chips whilst visiting Tynemouth. Tried their takeaway several times but this was my first Marshall’s restaurant experience. There was some confusion in the beginning when we entered the restaurant and queued up behind another group of tourists who we thought were also waiting for a table. We thought this was a natural thing to do since there was no “wait here to be seated” sign outside. However the waitress showed up and told us directly to wait outside because we would crowed the space, and the other group of tourists were waiting inside because they were already offered the table. Well, a little unpleasant but not a big problem. Once we were seated the service immediately came back online. Their fish and chips indeed lived up to their reputation: the thinly battered fish was very crispy and not greasy at all, which came in decent size. I particularly enjoyed their gravy sauce which went well with both the fish and chips.
