basic pub, no frills.... great beer and lovely food at a great price. Warm friendly attentive staff that go the extra mile. Was there with my dog having a beer and the staff brought him a bowl of water and some dog treats. Not often you see that... well done to the staff.

This is an amazing pub. My favourite place to come for a drink in Tynemouth. I love the choice of ale on offer. Staff are friendly and chatty which is always nice. Love the feel of the place and I always know I will get a good pint surrounded by nice clientel. Next door to my favourite Indians too!

Myself and my partially disabled boyfriend were out for our afternoon stroll, he said pop into the Turks for a quickie and Some nuts, I said why not.. After a rather treturious walk along the coast in the blustery winter conditions a well served periteef was in order, as his club foot was playing up no end ! The Turks has recently brought back the old tipple of dark fruits, much to our delight. Glad to have our favourite beverage back in our favourite local. The only thing missing now is the juke box with that old classic chitty chitty bang bang, say that after a few.... The More than accommodating staff beth and George, willing to lend a hand to get my boyfriend to the top bar in our usual spot to rest his weary crutch.

The steak & Ale pie was huge & delicious . I would have liked Fosters lager which they didn't have but apart from that, everything else was lovely.

Decent pub in the heart of Tynemouth. Great place to catch the sun of an evening and the food isn’t bad either. Good beer, good food and sun if it’s out, well I would head to this pub then! Picture is on the hunters chicken sandwich. Bit thick with the sauce and actually friend had a burger, which I should of got.

Another visit for me while in Tynemouth. Was last there in December 2022, and the Stella Artois had been removed, gutted. There last week and was in two minds whether to pop in while passing, glad I did, Stella has returned. Great boozer, lots of choice drinks wise for everyone. Hoping to visit again later in the year. Definitely recommend.
