Never fail to have a great night at this place. Intimate and atmospheric music venue. Delicious food ... it’s the best place in Tynemouth for a relaxed catch up with friends and you always get a warm welcome. Very dog friendly too .. they get lots of cuddles and biscuits!

My partner and I have been here for gigs and the occasional drink . The venue is lovely and fantastic to watch bands in. Acoustics are excellent as well. We recently held our 10th anniversary party of our civil partnership and the Surf Cafe was the ideal place for it. The staff (especially Ricky and Michael on the night) were exceptional. All our friends loved it and our favourite local band "Ten Eighty Trees" sounded great here (Cheers Nathan, Michael and Lewis). I would thoroughly recommend this venue to hire or just even visit. Thanks again Surf Cafe xx

Just popped in for breakfast this morning as I had heard about their “Sin Free” breakfast! It did not disappoint!! My husband had the standard full English. Both breakfasts were absolutely delicious! As someone who has been losing weight for a year it is fabulous to find somewhere that caters to slimmers but still provides an amazing breakfast with all the trimmings. And anywhere that gives me a proper mug of tea is asways a winner!

Came down yesterday to hear Kewen in the cafe. So impressed by the helpful guy behind the counter who created us a custom coffee on the fly. Really great atmosphere and a great supportive attitude from the venue for the musicians. Thoroughly recommend.

Love this place. Really friendly staff, great atmosphere with the music and querky decor and the food is lush. Very dog friendly too which is a bonus when all you want is a good coffee (which isn't over priced) after a walk on Tynemouth longsands.

The cafe was dog central the morning we called in for breakfast - all were impeccably well behaved after a morning on the beach, and treats were dispensed to all dogs by the staff. Our human treats were the sausage rolls which were tasty and freshly prepared.

What a Canny little Cafe, on the edge of the Bluff. Cleary a Regular Spot for Surfers, next to a Shop for Surfing Stuff. Happy Staff who were welcoming, however, after a Busy Weekend. All the food was Eaten, but the Coffee made Amend. Plenty of spaces for Parking, with Outdoor seating to enjoy the view. An excellent spot to have a Snack & for us Oldies : A Disabled LOO!!

Easily one of the best at the coast! Probably visit once a week be it for a pint, a burger or a take out coffee and never had a bad experience. It has such a welcoming, chilled vibe & there’s always something good going on- JD singing on Friday is always a treat! The large outside seating area is a hit with my doggos (they are a bit large for inside but they are welcome) and the views of the sea are dreamy and compliment a couple of pints nicely. The burgers are the best I have had (and I have had many) & I am fully addicted to the halloumi fries. There is something for everyone at the surf cafe and to top it off the owners/ staff are so lovely and friendly. Go if you haven’t already :)

Not really been much since it's mini makeover. Love it. Very cool inside still but seems to have gained some space. At the minute are partnered with Brack Burger which is a match made in heaven. Those guys know their way round a patty. Coffee still good, beer still good. Great outside area overlooking the beach. Perfect on a lovely summers day. They seem to be a very dog friendly place too which is great.

Great little place on the coast with burgers and other food available. Can be quite costly for anyone on a budget but the food os really good and the indoor atmosphere is great when they have live singers on different nights a week.

This place is legendary! Food&coffee is sooo good! Came here several times and all was great (burgers, truffle fries). The outside garden view is breathtaking just over Long sands beach. But what's so extraordinary about the place is their friendly staff and their support of the local music scene. Cant wait to be back!

We’ve wanted to visit Tynemouth Surf Café for a little while now and we had a fantastic visit. It gets quite busy when the weather is good, but we waited around 10 minutes and a bench came free outside which was great. I ordered the Creole Shrimp Po’ Boy, which was so tasty. The shrimp were a really decent size and were juicy. I really liked all the flavours and the avocado tasted really fresh. I’d definitely visit again to try something new on the menu. Love this place!

Great little café bar. Dog and child friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Good food options, reasonably priced and open until 10pm which was great when other local options closed early in the winter.
