Welcoming pub with lovely staff and fantastic food. Had one of the best curries I've ever tasted and a great sticky toffee pudding in a cardamon and cinnamon sauce. Great service from the lovely lady on the bar and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Returned after a long absence due to hearing good things about new managers.
Pleasantly surprised! Original menu, Asian infused as per the name.
Mrs had 3 small plates whilst I had one of the curries.
Mrs commented on the Samosas pastry not being as expected, more thicker like shortcrust. Otherwise, all good & very tasty.
My curry was excellent, spices & chilli level just right for me. Portions generous, too!
We were that impressed, we have booked to try the Sunday dinners!

Great twist on the usual pub offerings, and with a warm welcome from Xavier and Evelina. Food was nicely presented, arrived hot and freshly made. Fantastic flavours, especially the lamb tacos, the chicken biryani and masala fries. Thereâs something on the menu that everyone will like. Will definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes.

Had a lovely time at the new Ale and Aloo Gatehouse. The good was to die for. Best Indian in a long time. The spicy mango margarita was a great hit at our table. Definitely will be back

Pub has recently changed owners. Called in on Sunday lunchtime and the Gents toilets were a mess from the previous day. Clearly not cleaned before opening. Cigarettes discarded in the sink. Tissue paper all over the floor.

First time nipping here for lunch on a quiet Sunday. Steph was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. Food was superb (specifically their homemade chips!), atmosphere was great, so we'll definitely be visiting again.
