Welcoming pub with lovely staff and fantastic food. Had one of the best curries I've ever tasted and a great sticky toffee pudding in a cardamon and cinnamon sauce. Great service from the lovely lady on the bar and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Returned after a long absence due to hearing good things about new managers. Pleasantly surprised! Original menu, Asian infused as per the name. Mrs had 3 small plates whilst I had one of the curries. Mrs commented on the Samosas pastry not being as expected, more thicker like shortcrust. Otherwise,

Great twist on the usual pub offerings, and with a warm welcome from Xavier and Evelina. Food was nicely presented, arrived hot and freshly made. Had a lovely time at the new Ale and Aloo Gatehouse. The good was to die for. Best Indian in a long time. The spicy mango margarita was a great hit at our table. Definitely will be back

First visit in over 15years. Very clean and bright. Lady who served us was so friendly and welcoming. Food amazing nice and hot and loads of homemade chips 🤤 will certainly go again.

Pub has recently changed owners. Called in on Sunday lunchtime and the Gents toilets were a mess from the previous day. Clearly not cleaned before opening. Cigarettes discarded in the sink. Tissue paper all over the floor.

Visited here on Saturday. Lovely lady serving us. Very chatty and friendly. Clean and tidy. Car park at the back. Reasonable prices. Gorgeous food and great service. Definitely recommend The Gatehouse. Thank you 😁

First time nipping here for lunch on a quiet Sunday. Steph was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. Food was superb (specifically their homemade chips!), atmosphere was great, so we'll definitely be visiting again.
