Though we live local it was our first visit.....it will not be the last, the service was very good, a good choice of food on the menu. The food was excellent and plentiful, I had the home made meat pie my Wife had the home made cheese and onion pie both excellent. Very friendly staff. We will definitely be back

Quite nice, I ordered the halloumi fries and chips I wish I got more halloumi fries though. But they were very good I will definitely be coming back.

Great food Great atmosphere Usually plenty of staff around but can be very slow service. Note: if you want to eat here you really need to book a table, especially Sunday afternoon/ tea time. Please check times of food service!

Rang up an hour before to book a Sunday lunch as not visited the pub before. Nice atmosphere, varied customers from familys to couples ...Good ambiance and the food was worth every penny.Lots of staff available to help and all looking like they enjoyed working there,would highly recommend and will be going back for food :-)

Staff were very good, service with a smile. Food was really nice and also had vegan options on the menu. The vegan option I had was so good both in taste and presentation. Will definitely go again.

Great value food. Very busy, most having food. Mixed grill. Fish, chips and mushy peas. Chicken chorizo penne . Big daddy burger, too much for 17 year old to finish.
Mixed grill brilliant. Children's mac and cheese good value and enjoyed by them.
We will call again.

This is what I call a proper pub staff are friendly and can't do enough for you the food is fantastic and the drinks. Are reasonably priced p.s proper chips not cheap frozen ones highly recommend.

The food was A*.Most pub food these days I find very disapointing.It's mass produced in factories and just reheated..
The Union is different.Home made, large portions, great variety, lovely staff.In the day it has that 'home from home' feel about it. Amazing value for our pensioners too...ÂŁ3.50 for two course meal!!!!

The Union catered for my 70th on Sunday afternoon and we all thoroughly enjoyed it , a lovely buffet, more than enough for us all..plus we had a big potato pie and pastry.. now that went down a treat aswel, the staff was wonderful.. Thankyou very much for making it a memorable day..Xx
