The Old Friar - Twywell - Photo album

We have just returned from having one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Friendly staff, well looked after, meals all amazing large portions could not fault in any way. Definitely recommend.
Lovely Sunday lunch and lovely desserts! Would definitely visit again.
Absolutely amazing! We went on a Sunday for the roast, the family had the roast and I had the pesto hake. I do enjoy a pub that serves other food on Sundays so you have the option. Every plate was clear! The staff were helpful and friendly and the toilets were very clean. I did notice a lot of step
Fabulous food, great service! Loved the autumn menu deal too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Visited Wednesday lunchtime we all had slow roasted belly of pork on a mustard mash with green vegetables followed by apple and cherry crumble. Absolutely delicious. Very friendly barstaff and good ale
Lovely food fantastic service well recommended
Nice place however chap next to us his chair collapsed. Slightly disappointed with the food it was ok but would have been better to have meat on plate and dishes for veggies as I had too many potatoes not enough Brussels, starter and pudding ok but we seemed to have been missed in service we had to
I love this place. Apart from being in one of my favourite villages the staff and the food are both great. Used to go regularly for Saturday breakfast. Must resume the habit. Taken many guests there too over the years.
Always a winner, lovely pub/restaurant. Always good food, good service and good selection of drinks. Family and dog friendly, also has a play area for the kids. Always have a great experience and will be going again this Sunday for a roast
Giving a five start review because I can’t give a six. Service was just right, not in your face, just professional and timely. Food was well presented and incredibly tasty. We chose this as an alternative to our first choice as that was closed for a function. Really pleased we had to change as this
Food was good but nothing outstanding
Lovely old pub with nice Christmas menu. Only downside was staff serving who didn't seem very attentive; trying to get someone's attention seem impossible, had to go the the bar twice to ask for assistance. Not like it was very busy either. Would be happy to try again though as lovely setting.
Just had a fabulous Sunday roast with family, it was the best we have had . Beautiful meat and so much of it . Would highly recommend the old friar and staff were lovely.
