Nice little pub, friendly staff, might feel like a clicky local type if you don't say hello to random people. I do. Bar staff are both all smiles with good looks. Garden is massive. Dog friendly too which is mark of a proper pub.

Nice little pub a short walk from Twyford Station and just for a change probably had a bigger beer garden than the inside of the pub - with a play area for children. The staff were quite pleasant but the Guinness wasn't quite right (it was a bit quiet so maybe just been sitting in the line for a while) and the Brakspear Oxford Gold was excellent

Love coming down with my son on a Saturday lunch time - great atmosphere and the staff are great and accommodating with my 6 year old making him feel at home - lovely to see the play area having a makeover and the bouncy castle! Some of the smaller pub lunch items from the Thai are great too 👌

A proper english, rustic country pub in a beautiful old wooden beamed building with a large pub garden out the back which leads into another big garden with a swings and slides etc for the children ! Nice relaxed atmosphere and mix of different types of people. And most importantly a good selection of nice dogs to say hello to! 🤩🤩🤩 We went here to watch the Lions Match and they have screens up everywhere for people who are interested in it. Very easy to see the screens if you are watching sport. The wooden beams, wooden floor and wooden everything inside makes you feel instantly at home and comfortable in a proper country pub. The building is lovely and the outside area is big and very fun. After 4 when foood stops being served you can get food from the turkish van next to the pub, and they allow you to bring it in the pub.

Lovely place - staff are friendly, the locally-sourced ales are tasty, and the garden out the back is splendid on a bright sunny day!

Went to the pub with a group of friends had a great time. Also had lots of children with us. And the play Area was good to but the only thing I would say. It would be nice to have some seating area down there to sit and keep an eye on the children when they are playing.

A decent pub, friendly bar man, friendly regulars, good choice of real ales, and especially important; the beer was in very good condition! They show the sport and have a functional beer garden. My only criticism is the benches outside were quite wobbly and the peeling paint came off on my arm. Will definitely be back.

Great pub and we were very fortunate that the weather allowed us to sit in the outdoor beer garden and watch the chamipons league final between Tottenham and Liverpool

It was a good place to stop for a couple of pints before heading for a curry. Friendly and helpful staff. The pub also seems to welcome dogs, as there were large and small ones at all times.

The Duke has been refurbished by the current landlord to a very high standard. It is really clean, the staff are attentive and abide by the new Covid guidelines brilliantly. I would highly recommended the Duke for families and friends who wish to catch up following the recent restrictions. A lovely, friendly atmosphere has been restored at this historical village pub.

Fantastic new Landlords into there second week now, the place looking refreshed and the addition of many new drinks, including spirits, lagers and ales, a new pool table in the back bar and food and events on the way, exciting times for this much loved village pub 👌

My local. A little-ish pub that does quite a lot. Good food (I believe they rent out their kitchen and it has recently changed), local crowd, and excellent provision for watching sports. Excellent lounge bar also for when you want to hide from the screens. Huge and sunny beer garden. Could do with a greater selection of non-alcoholic beers.

Recently moved to Twyford. By a country mile this is THE best pub in Twyford! Family and dog friendly and the owners are the loveliest ever. Garden is HUGE... with a massive outdoor green space right out the back and then a huge garden down the steps with amazing play equipment for the little ones. Great range of drinks and the hubby loves the live sports. Atmosphere over the World Cup was something else with the large outdoor screen! we’ve made new friends and are so lucky to have The Duke at the heart of our village.
