A lovely tea room in Marble Hill Park. Unfortunately both our cakes were a bit stale. I'm sure it's because we arrived early afternoon and they had been on display all day. Maybe they should put them under an airtight dome? Apart from this disappointment the service was friendly and the cafe very clean
A lovely place to have lunch. Tables outside are the perfect place to enjoy the summer. We had a couple of toasties, which come with a small salad. All very nice.
Please please management can you get the lovely food covered in any way?cakes looks mouthwatering but completely exposed to people talking above them..can you please have them covered?thanks
Pleasant setting here with a selection catering for most tastes without succumbing to the ‘artisanal’ and its fickle affiliates.
Covering familiar territory, with a few mild surprises and all at a reasonable price. Friendly and unaffected service.
Alongside a grassy (not muddy) playground
This fine cafe has become something of a destination in its own right. Proprietor Eileen has created one of the friendliest establishments in the area and serves a wide range of freshly made sandwiches, hot food and delicious cakes, all at sensible prices.
UPDATE at 15 Sept 2018: English Heritage - the owners - intended to close it down. After months of uncertainty which made Eileen's future very doubtful they have been forced by public protest to drop their plans. Now it's up to us all to support this valuable community resource. But will English Heritage recognise Eileen's long and popular service by renewing her contract when the inevitable renovation happens? Let's hope so.
UPDATE at 21 September 2019: Now we know that Eileen will not be retained by English Heritage after Sunday 3 November 2019. This is sad news for those of us who have valued the warmth and community service of her time here. Enjoy it while you can.
Very cosy and warm with a wry welcoming interior. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and I enjoyed the sandwich. Will visit again.
Can get quite busy around lunchtime. There is a small amount of indoor seating, which isn't too cramped. The staff are nice and friendly.
Bit pricey, but dogs are allowed inside which is very convenient for dog-owners and park-goers alike that visit the park often. Staff are very nice and so are the pastries that can be bought. It offers a lovely view over the park and a nice cosy atmosphere. Bit dull inside, but outside seating is offered along with trays of water for furry companions.
As the name suggests, this unassuming little cafe is housed in an old building at the edge of the Marble Hill House estate. The courtyard also houses well-kept toilets serving the park. However, the real joy of this place is the quality of the welcome and - when we arrived late on a chilly post Christmas afternoon - some really good fruit cake. We had the last piece but it was replaced immediately by a cream sandwich even late in the afternoon! We'll be back!
A lovely little cafe next to a playground. Couldn’t find a lemonade with lemons but the hot cross buns with butter were good! Toilets are filthy however
Coffee has improved enormously since they first reopened.
We even managed to have food cooked (a toastie) before the kitchens had opened. Nice stop when your in the park
Excellent range of teas, coffees and light refreshments available. Permanent outdoor seating has been installed, but food and drink is also available to take away.

After visiting over 100 cafe's over 2015, we judged this in the top 5! They have lush cakes and sandwiches. Scrumpy food, and all practicality half the price of Hampton Court, ham house, and any of Richmond's cafe's.
Usually part of the ritual when walking in Marble Hill Park. Stop off for hot drink and cake. Clean toilets with baby changing is a must with a little one in tow.
