Really excellent food for a really reasonable price, here. The menu is diverse, and everything sounds appetising. I had 'roast rib of rare breed Dexter beef, horseradish cream' from the Sunday menu. It was astoundingly good. Tender, juicy, almost melt-in-your-mouth good. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. All of the roasts at St Margarets - which give you a nice portion-size of meat, by the way - are bulked up with crispy potatoes and plenty of vegetables. And a yorkie pud, of course. When I asked for more gravy, our attentive waitress brought it over almost immediately.
A great dining experience!
St Margaret's Tavern is a popular gastropub in Twickenham, London. It has a smart, rustic interior with exposed beams and a wood-burning stove. The menu features modern British cuisine, with dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. There is also a wide selection of beers on tap, as well as wines and cocktails.
The pub is a popular spot for both locals and visitors. It is often busy, especially on weekends. However, the service is generally good and the food is well-prepared.
St Margaret's Tavern also has a wide selection of beers on tap, as well as wines and cocktails. If you're looking for a place to watch a rugby match, St Margaret's Tavern is a great option. They have several TVs that show live rugby matches, and the atmosphere is always lively.
Overall, I would give St Margaret's Tavern a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. It is a great place to go for a meal or a drink in Twickenham. Outdoor seating is available too.
A great pub. Big, comfortable, and friendly. It is well known as a before and after pub for Twickenham Rugby but also as a pub with a strong commitment to sport. Big TVs, sound on in a family - and dog friendly atmosphere; what's not to like.
The beer selection is wide, and the food for both the bar and resteraunt menus is excellent.
Visited the twickenham area a few days ago, and found this gem, a very characteristic gentleman welcomed me as soon as I came though the door. The food was great, the team were excellent and attentive, can wait to come back when I’m next visiting!
Local favourite which is firmly back on the right track.
Excellent, friendly staff, good selection of beer and good prices (well, good prices for the area) and a simple, but tasty menu.
Highly recommended
I really liked this place
The atmosphere during and after rugby was fantastic. The food was amazing and the service was great. Shout out to Kwame who was super helpful and friendly.
Highly recommend
Well, called in almost by accident, sometimes accidents are meant to happen! A lovely, cavernous pub sending out roasts like tomorrow is Monday. Bristol vs Bath on the telly. What more could you want? A good selection of lagers and beers on offer, along with the odd tap I did not understand (courtesy of Smirnoff). Brilliant place, feel free to have a extra Google Star!
Nice pub with good service. Lots of space.
Great staff, very reasonably and serve good beer. No issues if you ask for a top up etc. I usually find that an issue in pubs. Anyway this pub should be proud of its etiquette, really excellent. My dad played for the football team in 1974 and still drinks in here. One of the few fullers pubs they haven't ruined - good work team who work there.
I love going to the St. Margaret's, everyone is so friendly and willing to have a chat. Plenty of options of drinks and spaces to sit, both inside and out!
Very nice pub, great selection of beers and other drinks. Service was friendly and efficient.
Good pub and nicely kept beer. Bar staff friendly and efficient. Well run pub with decent interior. Good location and has good sized car park for the area.
I really enjoyed my trip to St Margaret’s - service was polite and punctual. The food on offer was better than your stand pub affair and was very enjoyable. Located right next to the train station, it’s in a great spot and the interiors are light and well looked after without feeling too modern.
Really nice food and service with a great atmosphere.
Brilliant day in the garden during the coronation street party. The playlist over the speakers if you’re into late 90s/early-mid 2000s was the best I’ve heard. If anyone working there sees this let me know what Spotify playlist it is please 🤣🤣
