Thank you so much Brouge - we dined with you last night and we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. You were very busy but we didn't wait long for service or food to arrive. Quite obviously quality produce, cooked by a chef who cares about the food that leaves the kitchen. It was a true delight to be able to taste every ingredient on my plate. We will definitely be back and will recommend
I absolutely love the place. For beer lovers, there's an amazing menu with Belgian beers. The food is so good. It's really rare to find a place where you can find both food and drinks for a good price and high quality.
I had my 50th birthday party here on Saturday, December 17.
With 40 guests to look after in my group, together with two other simarly sized parties in other parts of the restaurant, it has to be said that the service and food was outstanding.
I have been coming here for a few years now, on a regular basis, with friends, clients and work colleagues and I have never had a bad meal, nor has the service been anything but exemplary from everyone.
The party went without any issues whatsoever and everyone said how good the food was, portion size was excellent and the service received outstanding.
I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will continue to give it patronage every time.
Thanks to the entire team, seen and unseen!
Brouge catered for our friend George’s centenary lunch celebration on October 14th. There were 26 of us with a varied 2 course menu and drinks. They provided 2 parking spaces for our elderly guests and disabled access was very good.
The food was of a very high standard and the puddings were particularly delicious ( all of our older friends having a very sweet tooth!)The staff were efficient but unobtrusive and nothing was too much trouble. It’s a lovely airy venue for a special occasion and the staff went out of their way to ensure everyone had a memorable time.
A particular mention for Victor who was so helpful with the planning and execution of the whole event. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Brouge for any special party.
Great spot with some very good food and excellent beverage choices. We have come here twice;once for dinner and once for drinks and apps. And in both occasions, the eats were first rate. I had Ribeye steak dinner and Meat Platter. My wife, the Seafood Platter and Olive & Bread app. All excellent. They also carried my favorite Cider, in Rekorderlig.
Lovely food...I had fish & chips....generous portion of fish...2 pieces. Very good batter...crispy.
Sat in the garden....good service...friendly

An amazing night.
The food was so nice the brie and parma ham was so nice as well as the main of wheat beer musles.
The staff were all amazing to friendly good service made sure we had all what we needed
Great selection of amazing beers also as well as a good cocktail menu.
An amazing sat night was had by all and will deffo come back
Love this place, great food, drink selection is superb and staff are cheerful and helpful..,oh yeah and the ribs were fantastic
Excellent place.. marvellous mussels in wheat beer sauce washed down with more Belgium beer.. even kids food looked good
Wonderful food, excellent service and perfect for a cheeky date night or family dining. My partner John had the Mussles... the best he has ever had! And the Beligan Waffles. YUM!! Definately hit the spot for this pregnant mumma's cravings! Thank you for having us x
Attended a 50th birthday meal, with a huge amount of people for sit down 3 course dinner...waiting staff were excellent, fast and efficient. Food was awesome too
Lovely place, great food, nice staff. We just keep going back for the Mussel pots. Absolutely fantastic dishes.
We have been to the Brouge a few tilted and the food just gets better and better.
We visited this Friday and the service was perfect and the food was delicious.
Great luncheon with friends and clients 4th visit and each time it has never disappointed great food great staff and close enough to the the ground for the game
The ambience is lovely. Staff is courteous and friendly. Very limited options for vegetarians, but the preparation of those dishes was very good. We ordered a risotto and a burger. Both were really nice. The apple crumble could've been better. The strawberry Belgian waffle was good and mildly sweet.
They have one of the best beer battered haddock and chips in town! It was worth every penny. They are also on Deliveroo so that's pretty handy
Excellent food , great beers, good price.
Steaks are excellent on a good night. I've eaten a few times at Brouge at the Old Goat. On my first visit, I was blown away by the fillet steaks which are source from an excellent butcher and the fondant chocolate desert was beyond this world.
On most visits, the food has been excellent but there have been a couple of occasions when it was merely average.
I like the Saturday night Jazz evenings in the bar.
When I think about Belgian food, I think soups, hearty stews, bread, tartare, more bread, frites, frites, frites and of course, mussels. I had spent a short summer in Leuven - a town near Brussels - years ago and I had great meals there. I can’t remember
There is nothing more quintessential than the English Sunday roast. My favourite has to be roast beef with yorkies and all the trimmings, yum! I am always on the lookout for that restaurant that is going to satisfy my tastebuds and remind me of my Mum's, who, incidentally, makes the best!
With that in mind I ventured down to Brouge with my English buddy to check out their offerings. I have been here many times for a few drinks but not to dine in.
We were shown to our table in the conservatory which had a nice view of the gardens. At the time of writing this the Sunday carvery is available for £10.95. I settled on the roast beef naturally and it was generously carved as I waited. I helped myself to everything there, well, you've got to try it all right? I wasn't disappointed, it tasted delicious! Everything was hot, fresh and there was plenty of it. Unfortunately my eyes were too big for my stomach and I couldn't finish or have room for dessert. My companion cleared hers though and we both agreed it was the best roast we'd had in ages!
Everything here comes with both our seals of approval. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the vibe in the place was very good. If you're in the area you should definitely check it out!
Updated VIsit: So this is another post on visit to Brouge which is more recent and I ate outdoors so I could get decent pics, my original write up is below and mentioned it was quite dark on my first visit. It's definitely an indulgent place to eat with these parma ham wrapped figs with goats cheese (you can't see the goats cheese but its definitely in there). They are good hearty servings, the figs and the baked cheese and pastry tart (de-constructed) below were both starters with ample on offer - so very good value with these meals.
The chic geek had the Fish pie as a main on this visit and I must admit on the day, it was the better of the two mains. I had the mussels previously and they hadn't been de-bearded very well on this occasion and weren't as good as my first visit and looked a little messy when presented. But the fish pie was deliciously creamy and cheesey with a typically French styled richness with herbs. Of course we had to finish of with my nemesis, the Strawberry Waffle, this dessert goes without saying. When I come to Brouge it is a necessity that I order it, it puts me in a super natural state every time.
Brouge has decent and spacious outdoor seating area as well and with the copious amounts of different beers on offer is a great way to spend summer evenings.
My original: Post I may have to return to this impressive eatery during the day time to really capture the essence of the food (and I did as above :)). The Hollister styled lighting at the Old Goat gives a nice ambience however, my camera which normally works in low light, struggled with this one.
I had a delightful surprise mothers day meal sprung upon me by my two 'Rascals'. I imagine it was probably one of the busiest days of the year for food service, and when we arrived it was bursting with crowded tables of families. I was pleased to see that they were serving their usual menu, not some mocked up, boarderl-ine boring, Sunday roast menu. We had plenty of time to enjoy a pint from their extensive list of beers, actually over 95 different types of which to choose, hooo weee! The serving staff was a particularly pleasant waitress who seemed very knowledgeable of the menu and was most helpful. However, I must admit food service was slow, to be expected, but when the food arrived, it was as good as any excellent French bistro. In spite of the pressure on possibly one of the busiest days of the year, the chef(s) didn't compromise on the quality of the food. It was slow yes, but the food superseded any delay. Funny that I particularly enjoyed the lettuce, something about the dressing, sweet, fresh, sharp very tasty. I started with the Pate, Rascal 1 had the Figs with Goat Cheese and Rascal 2 - Chilli Nacho's. Three different starters and all three delicious in their own right. I particularly liked the fig with goat cheese parma ham. You get the creamy saltiness of the cheese & parma with the sweet earthiness of the fig, it was actually sublime. I was envious of Rascal 1's choice, but equally happy with the Pate (Pate is my guilty pleasure, I must have it where ever I go). It was served with bread, one of which was crusted with poppy seeds - a winner in my book. The chilli nacho's were great too, super thick chips not soggy.
For the mains it was Moules and Burger. Rascal 2 opted for a chicken burger and we had mussels two ways with frites. I opted for the Moules a la Creme and Rascal 1 had the Moules with Chorizo.
Out of the two Moules (both of which were delightful and tasty) I liked the cream based mussels. The sweet onions, savoury delicate mussels with the creme sauce add a sense of indulgence. If you're anything like me who doesn't eat a lot of cream - this is the meal you want to save your calories for. It was finger licking good, I have had Moules in Belgium and France etc etc. but these guys are the real McCoy. One must get involved, this is not a dish you want to fiddle about your cutlery with. I like to get stuck in and yes you might end up with half of your meal down your front and on your chin, but by golly its worth it, so don't be shy.
Finish off the meal with any one of their sweets, our dessert du jour was the white cheesecake and a strawberry waffle. The stand out dishes are the true to type Belgium classics, the mussels and the waffles, but damn their other food is great too!
Lets face it, this is one of the best wholesome eatery's in Twickenham, and I'm already saving up those calories for my next feast!

Our favourite pub with plenty of beer choice and food for the whole family. This is our local
My recent dining at Brouge Gastropub was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, it was a culinary delight. The food was delicious. I had a steak, and it was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy and bursting with flavour. The cocktails were also wonderful. The staff was helpful and attentive, making sure our dining experience was top-notch. The desserts were superb and nicely served. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food is absolutely fantastic! Best roast I’ve had out! Portion sizes are huge as well. service was a little slow to clear the table and take orders etc but staff were pleasant and friendly.
Great range of beers and some tasty draught ciders..! Food was amazing and they are known for their seafood muscle dishes, best in West London!! Good service too and the manager there is always extremely courteous to customer requests.
Well done Brouge team - you get better year on year. This is the place I always feel home, and have splendid food and drink. The beer selection, both foreign and local, has no parallels. And the cocktails! wow, that’s art. Well done !
Have been twice now. Highly likely to go again. Good quality food, but not quite five star, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, that's just me. Very friendly. Comfortable surroundings. Great for a pub lunch with a slight twist. Great for families too.
Lovely Belgium pub and the mussels and fries were great! Tasty, generous portion size and a good variety of choice on the menu. Staff were lovely and hospitable too.
Great place
One of the best pub in the neighborhood. Great food / Great ambience with fantastic team to take care of your needs .
Do try their lunch menu . Truly enjoyed the food with a clean outdoor garden sitting . Looking forward to visit in group .
When you in Twickenham , do plan for a calm chill out time at Brouge
Excellent food. Everything was delicious.
Nice atmosphere and great staff.
Excellent fish & chips. Children friendly, excellent kids portion of moules, fish & chips, salmon en croute, and beef stew & stompe.
Food is very well presented and looks great. The moule et frite is very tasty, Belgium stew was also a very tasty dish. Fish and chips were good. Outside seating was very pleasant. Very good menu to choose from. Excellent choice of beers and ales and also many bottled Belgian beers to choose from.
Staff are very welcoming and are happy to help. Prices are moderate. Free parking for 4 cars on the pub forecourt, otherwise on street parking with restrictions.
Would eat here again.
What a lovely bistro pub ♡All of the staff this fine evening was lovely. Our waitress was so sweet and tentative her name was Arela. The food was really tasty and just perfect. My partner and I dine often and I must say we usually don't have such pleasant experiences even in 4-5 star places. Great food, pretty decor, nice atmosphere and everything was reasonable ♡
Great range of beers. Had dinner with my family here last night and we all loved the food. The fajitas were lovely. The service was excellent too. Will definitely go again.
Three of us had a delicious meal on Saturday evening that was reasonable in price, well presented and tasty.
The service was genuine and very good indeed
We sat in the garden, which is dog friendly. Thank-you.
I had the mussels, and they were very nice. Unlike the ones at Cotes, which have cream in the white wine broth, these ones do not, which I prefer.
Went back again for the mussels, and they didn’t disappoint. My wife also pointed out that the chips were excellent, so I’m upgrading my review to a “5.”
I like this place.
The menu is appealing with the obligatory mussels and fries and the Sunday roast substantial.
A fair selection of Belgian beers plus I discovered a new Trappist beer that is now my favourite.
I suggest that you book a table first as it's a popular venue.
Popped in for a couple of drinks with my wife as it's not far from where we live and I love Belgian beer.
We were greeted at the bar by friendly staff and took our drinks outside in the garden where there was a good atmosphere and plenty of seating.
Everyone was in good spirits and we felt very welcome.
I had a bottle of Orval Belgian beer which I've had before and my wife had a Grey goose vodka.
We enjoyed our drinks so much that we ordered the same again.
Unfortunately, the heavens opened shortly after we got our drinks and had to duck under a parasol on another table..
If we hadn't already made dinner plans, we would've definitely ordered food.
We look forward to returning to Brouges very soon for food and drink.
Visiting from Australia, nice selection of beers, food was great on a bit of a miserable night. Staff were very pleasant and professional. If I am here again will definitely return.👍
