I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered their pizzas via Deliveroo. They are superb! Authentic Neapolitan-style and the best in the area.
First time dining at Ballarò and already planning to return! Authentic Sicilian cuisine at its finest. The wood fire pizzas are absolutely delicious, definitely recommend the Siciliana one (especially if you're vegetarian and like aubergine and ricotta).
The staff are attentive and couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating (grazie mille especially to Boris!). The dessert menu is fantastic - the ricotta and pistachio cake with mini chocolate chips was truly one of the best desserts I've ever had! (Looking forward to trying the tiramisu next time).
The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. Plus there is a car park just behind - two minute walk to the restaurant. Undoubtedly one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in London.
Pizzas £12 to £16. Wine reasonably priced. V good standard of pizza. Will be back
Lovely little authentic italian restaurant in the heart of Twickenham. Great selection of tasty fresh pizzas and delicious pasta. All washed down with a pint of crisp Peroni! Highly recommend :-)
I can't fault this restaurant. The staff are professional, attentive, friendly and just generally everything you want from a service perspective. The food itself is exceptional and I've never been disappointed. Why you would go to anywhere like pizza express/dominoes and pay more for garbage pizza is beyond me. Try this place and you won't be disappointed.
My new favourite pizza place. Just so much better than the poor quality you get from the mediocre better known pizza places. The staff are amazing and the dining experience is always fun and tasty. cannot wait to go back....again
What a gem! Wonderful fresh seafood, full of flavour, great pizza dough, presented in a fine dining way, absolutely worth a regular visit, family dinner or romantic evening out. You feel like in the south of Italy.
The food here was excellent and the service was great too. The only (small) criticism would be that the lighting is too bright but that's just being pedantic. The pizza is cooked on the lightest homemade base and you can taste the quality of the ingredients they use right down to the delicious tomato sauce.
I will definitely be coming back to try the pasts dishes and other delights.
Update Sept 2023 the food was still excellent and the service superb
Very good welcoming Italian restaurant with a focus on regional Sicilian dishes. We had walked past Ballarò many a time tempted by the smell of fresh pizza and finally decided to pay a visit. We have eaten our fair share of Italian food both in London and Italy and this was very good indeed. We had a calzone and the Fritto misto (fried King prawns, whitebait, squid). The calzone was perfectly cooked with a chewy base and full of cheese, mushrooms and tomato. The fritto misto was fresh and tasty with the artichokes a nice addition. For dessert we had a pana cotta and tiramasu both of which were well balanced and just as they should be. The service was attentive and we'll be sure to visit again.
The absolute best place for authentic Italian wood fire pizza. Has a wide selection of wines and drinks. Owner is friendly and has a vast passion for exotic plants.
The food quality and services are top-class. You should try it once.
I'll visit this restaurant over again!!
Returning customer, this time visited during weekday. Amazing food and great customer service, staff were attentive. We ordered variety of starters and pizza for mains. Large portions... took pizza away! Covid safe.
This restaurant can pride on a great space, perfectly made pizzas and genuine italian desserts. It's going to be hard to find a place that provides all of this around Twickenham area. The service was very friendly too so it is five stars for me. I will be back to try the pasta dishes and the fish, which both looked amazing!

Our first visit was fraught with problems due to a member of staff not turning up for his shift without notice, and Calogero, the wonderful waiter, was left to deal with a packed restaurant. He performed miraculously, and since then, we have returned on a regular basis, luckily always managing to coincide with Calogero's shifts! The food is Sicilian based, and I suggest you start with a bowl of their home made Arancini. There are many pastas to choose from next, but I had a special which was made with a rabbit sauce. Unusul but delicious. We have also tried the pizzas, which are top notch.
A Sicilian restaurant cannot be visited without trying their Cannoli (remember Montalbano?), which we do every time! Wonderful way to end a meal.
Lastly, if you want a treat, try a bottle of GRILLO, an extraordinary Sicilian dry white wine, not too easy to find on sale these days.
Twickenham is really spoilt with the quality of its food establishments and Ballaro is right up there with the best. Delicious Italian food, lovely service and cold draft beer. Perfect!
Amazing pizzas and that's all you need to know. Service was okay as they seemed very busy and possibly a bit understaffed.
Amazing pizza! Excellent quality food ! Thank you and will definitely be back x
