We stopped here on our journey to have a cuppa saw some delightful looking cakes couldn't resist. One lemon with icing and one chocolate brownie warm with cream.OMG we were in heaven fabulous food fabulous staff prices were great too. Pooch friendly she got treated aswell.

I had middle yin breakfast, my wife had Tuna and Red Onion Panini asked for some water for our dog which was happily supplied and also given wonderful treat.
Always excellent home cooked food, from cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner, to yummy scones and cakes with a blackboard of daily specials.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming whether you are a first-time customer or a regular visitor.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome although the cafe is small and the tables are close together.

Visiting from London and really enjoyed the breakfast here. Great value for money, as the portion sizes are good. I don't think anyone will be able to finish the large breakfast! Also highly recommend the scones which are freshly baked. Book a table if you're coming on the weekend as it gets busy. There is parking on the street outside free for 2 hours.
Popped in for some breakfast while we were on a weekend break at Haggerston castle and we were not disappointed. Food was beautiful and fresh, the ladies serving were so friendly too. We just had to take one of the scones home too as they looked delicious!
had a lovely lunch at the Riverside cafe. Staff were lovely and friendly and helpful. Made a real effort with my toddler too. Portions are HUGE and reasonably priced and the cakes all look amazing (had to get as take away though as we were too full from haggis and cheese panini's.

A really friendly cafe that is always busy because of the quality food and service they provide. Their homemade sweet and savoury dishes are just outstanding.
