It's a great little pub that's obviously trapped in the tide of passing tourist and walkers, but welcomes everyone like they were locals and been drinking there for year's.
The "award winning pies" are well worthy of the title, gorgeous!

Excellent service from the friendly staff and the pastry pies are fantastic!! I always used to get the puff pastry but the shortcrust is incredible and will be my top choice going forward. Stunning countryside setting and an ideal pitstop after a walk.

This was my first time visiting the bull and butcher with my husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I tired out the lamb and mint shortcrust pie and it exceeded all expectations. Came in the other night, was greeted by a lovely young lady by the name of daisy I believe. I enjoyed a lovley glass of wine and a delicious chicken and mushroom pie. Honestly, it blew me away. Delicious, wholesome food- all my friends agree.will be coming by again soon!
Delicious food, lovely little pub in an idyllic village. Not cheap, but the quality shines through. Definitely worth a visit for the specialist pies alone!
