My 2nd time here and on both occasions the food was very nice. My partner had the black pudding with bacon starter and i must admit after not ordering a starter for myself I pinched half of his as it was that good. I would recommend their cheese pie it is lovely. The staff are friendly and there is a nice atmosphere . Can't wait for my next visit.

I had had friends recommend this place many times and this was my first visit. I went with a girlfriend for lunch on Sunday about 12.30 some of our other friends we planning lunch there but eating a little later than us. On the suggestion of the staff we booked them a table. My first impression was wow lovely decor loved the colours I even asked the staff what colour the paint was and they went to find out, how nice is that ! The food was really really good and very reasonable in price. I liked the fact the pub was dog friendly as its rural setting means you have a lot of walkers in the area and a great beer garden at the rear in the better weather. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. I have just recommended it to someone who was in my local gym/spa who wanted somewhere nice nearby for lunch. I will definitely be going again with my husband and also my other girlfriends. All in all I wish I had tried it sooner but I will be back soon. I have been brought up and worked in a similar type of pub and I don't do reviews very often but this place deserves a mention

Great beer, good food, cheeky selection of nice gins, laid back and welcoming with very friendly staff. The Chetham Arms never disappoints.

After shortening our usual circular walk back over the moors we were delighted to discover this great welcoming friendly pub to dry off in. The staff are all so lovely the decor is gorgeous, the food was good and reasonably priced we didn't have our dog with us this time but could see how welcomed dogs were. We will definitely be coming back, planning new routes already to make sure we pass. Loved it!!!!

Love this pub. Found on the off chance when staying nearby for the weekend and we could also take the little pug :) came twice whilst we was there Thursday night for food and drinks and back Friday. So so welcoming really dog friendly and they have a doggy menu aswel which is very cute. Loved our meal and all the locals where so friendly. Thanks again for your service will defiantly be back xxx
Absolutely lovely, welcoming and friendly pub. Dog friendly. The small plates menu is really great for those who want a bit of everything. My 3 dishes for Β£15 were so delicious. Freshly cooked. Beautifully presented. Very very tasty. The pub itself is a comfy cosy place. I would highly recommend.
Following a family day out we needed to find somewhere to eat.... It was a busy Saturday afternoon yet the lovely people at the Cheetham made us very welcome. The food was amazing! Thank you so much for making our day very memorable xx
What a great pub!! The location is beautiful and a good find after walking around the reservoirs and countryside. Really delicious food and plenty of it! Great choice of drinks and of course real ale. Plenty of space inside and the beer garden, a lovely atmosphere and great service with a friendly smile. I will definitely be going back. By the way I had the rag pudding, chips, proper mushy peas and gravy and it was amazing, spot on.
Oh I forgot to mention dog friendly too!
Came late evening on a Sunday whilst walking the dogs with friends. We were made to feel very welcome, dogs included. Hadn't booked but were able to order food. We had nachos, pizza and chips and couldn't fault anything. Will definitely ensure the walking route bypasses here again.
The Chetham has been my local for over 20 years but under the management of Liz and Chris it has really flourished. I spend far too much money at the Chetham as it is so lovely! Great service and great food at great prices. Lovely waiting staff too. They also do a GREAT burger and I would highly recommend!
So lucky to have this wonderful pub nearby! We eat here usually once a week and have to say we love the friendly staff and tasty food (my partner also loves the local ales!). They are extremely welcoming to both people and dogs, and I have to say Wilson (our dog) loves the doggy dinners they serve!! Highly recommend the sunday dinners, chetham burger and the mince beef pie!
Thank you very much for the service (over the phone, to book and on the day) for the 'after funeral' hot food. It was just what we all needed and the room was just right.
Not been since changed owners. Called in on a muggy Saturday walk for lunch. Glad we did .. Good food, lovely staff, proper beer at Β£4/pint . Really enjoyed it . Will be back

We went with some friends for the Thu night quiz. It was a fantastic atmosphere and the quizmaster should be on TV. I've been to plenty of quiz nights where they simply read the questions but this wasn't like that at all. It was very entertaining even if you weren't doing the quiz.
The bar staff did table service during the quiz which was a brilliant touch as there was no need for breaks or queues at the bar.
Food is lovely and fairly priced considering all the current pressures. Staff pleasant, nice pub all round.
Good food at decent prices, nice decor and staff. Wonderful location. Free car park and free Wi-fi. Will be visiting again soon hopefully. Had a lovely pint of Landlord and a really tasty Rag Pudding. An excellent pub.
Wonderful experience here, best food Iβve had out in a while! Perfectly priced, great drinks and loved seeing some adorable dogs! For those not into dogs there are dog free areas and the decor is lovely throughout. I can image the beer garden is a lovely place to grab a drink in the Summer.

Lovely atmosphere, called in for a pint and the smell of the food convinced us to give it a try. We weren't disappointed. Starters were amazing, burgers fantastic, pizzas were good. All made fresh. Staff were great, couldn't do enough for us. Definitely calling in again soon.
