Lovely meal as always and excellent service despite being quite busy. Really nice dining venue I would strongly recommend. My wife and I have eaten there many times. I had the tiger masam prawns which are served sizzling in an iron skillet, my personal favourite. Jen enjoyed her chicken tikka dish.

After having a work colleague recommend this place I thought I would give it a try. Not had an Indian for a while so I was looking forward to this one. My first impressions from outside were good, well presented building that you could tell was very well looked after. Once entering the restaurant we were greeted by a very professional looking staff member that was well dressed and well spoken. The table we were seated at was a little small for all 4 of us, but we mentioned this and was moved to a larger table right away. The inside of the restaurant was as nice looking as the outside with a modern yet traditional feel to the place. Service was quick and we were well looked after. The food came out very hot and fresh and well presented, the taste was just as fresh as the look. This was amazing food and very filling. Honest part, this restaurant is not cheap, it’s in the higher tier pricing but then again you pay for what you get and we got great service and great good. Worked out £25 each for a drink, popadom, dips, rice, curry and naan. I would highly recommend this place and will visit again soon

Absolutely fantastic food. The whole table was impressed and comments made about it being the best curry we've had. Really good quality and good sized portions. The staff were lovely and helpful and the restaurant itself beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place and service was great. The Korma was too spicy (hot) for the kids unfortunately which is unusual but the flavour of the other dishes we had was great. Felt very welcome. Park in Edward Street car park after 6 for £2 if you can't get parking on street.

Our good local friend brought us here on our first night in Truro, thankfully! We had walked by a few times already, and the cooking smells were to die for. I can not tell you all the dishes we had, but every single thing was great. All vegetarian as well. There are meat options, but I was following the leader. A day later, we can smell the kitchen getting ready again, and secretly wishing to go back already without trying another place I town.

Considering myself as a bit if a “curry expert” with a good knowledge of the Indian restaurant industry and had been recommended this venue from a friend in Exeter (Thanks Jimmy).Wow !!!! What ha wonderful place , great service, great food, presented perfectly with amazing combinations of flavour and spice proportions a very pleasurable taste experience in my mouth.Very clean and tidy and right up there with best in the country. Our party of 4 people would of actually cleaned up every last thing on our plates but just couldnt fit the last slice of a naan bread and a bit of curry gravy in. Well done guys you are the best !!!!! (My family is from India and I know what I’m talking about folks) you must dine here.

Absolutely insane food! Had a chicken mekhani and it was one of the most flavoursome meals I’ve ever had! The staff were welcoming and gave some the best service I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back and telling friends!

The curry and rice were superb but I have to say the naans were very disappointing and really spoiled the overall experience. Avoid the naan and you'll have a 5/5 meal.

Came to Shanaz go end a lovely holiday in Cornwall, I have heard that this restaurant is very good and it exceeded my expectations. I tried the chicken panasia which was extremely good. I also shared the chicken tikka korma with a friend and it was by far one of the best chicken tikka kormas ever; the naans were extremely soft and very tasty. The owners were very lovely and made the experience amazing. If you are ever in Truro, or Cornwall for that matter you must visit Shanaz as it is the best Indian restaurant I have visited. Thank you for such an amazing evening ! x
