Fantastic cream tea in a quaint setting with fabulous customer service. Tea cosys and cups with saucers are a nice touch which add to the authenticity of the surroundings. The sweet cream tea with Cornish clotted cream and hand baked scones were to die for. Then there is the savoury cream tea with 2 giant warm cheese scones, chutney, cream cheese and a generous chunk of Davidstow cheddar, scrummy! A great little find in the middle of the Cornish countryside. Make the trip and discover this jewel of a tea room.

A very clean and tidy place to eat, or just enjoy a pot of tea with real china cups. The menu is not complicated or exhaustive but the food is delicious and plentiful. The staff are friendly and the cream tea's (both sweet and savoury) are very filling. Well worth a visit, or two!

Lovely little gem of a coffee shop/ tea room. They offer gorgeous gluten free cakes and fantastic coffee . The Baker Tom bakewell is always a hit with my little one too. Always clean and the staff are so lovely. The only thing I would say is it would be nice to have some background music playing there .

Excellent cream tea, (warm scones, plenty of clotted), friendly and attentive service. Pretty crockery, tea garden and good menu. Ample parking, 'tucked away' location. We're local - and we'll be back!!

There is no better cure for a rainy day than Victoria sponge at the Elm Tree! In fact, the Elm Tree is the answer to most problems. Fabulous food, setting and a friendly, family welcome.

Hidden gem! Lovely lunches and cakes in a pretty cafe with the bonus of a pretty garden area. Lunches from 11.30 include salads with gluten free and dairy free options. Staff were really helpful accommodating the baby too! Dogs can go into the garden area and there is parking off the road too.

I only had coffee, but found the staff very friendly, and the service very quick. The tea room was lovely. Would be fantastic if they served bacon/sausage baps on their breakfast menu.

Wanted to sample a traditional ‘Cornish Tea’ while visiting Cornwall, and we are very glad we selected this cosy little place for our first one of the holidays. The cream tea was outstanding. The scones were delicious, and the jam and cream (in that order obviously) topped it off! The tea pot was huge, as was the kid sized hot chocolate! Service was friendly and welcoming, even when busy with the steady stream of customers. On a wet weekday, outside of the peak holiday season, the restaurant was busy over the lunch period, so I’d suggest making a booking if possible. Hopefully we can squeeze in another visit before we head home!
