We arrived to be told I had booked a table for two people instead of four. The staff were accommodating and assured us this was ok and quickly rectified my error.
We ordered drinks and proceeded to our table.
The bar area was busy but the staff moved quickly and it didn't take long for my food order to be taken.
Despite the pub being packed out, our food arrived quickly and was hot.
We had Mac n cheese, the cowboy burger, and two sirloin steaks.
Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I was dubious the steak wouldn't be that great (being a chain pub) yet they both thoroughly enjoyed the steak.
The burger was extremely "tasty and meaty".
Overall it was a great experience for all of us and we all said we would be back to try something different.
When we walked in we thought we were in for a long wait, but the happy bubbly staff sailed through the numbers with ease, resulting in our first positive experience at The Red Admiral.

Overall service was good. Barmaids however were very attentive and polite and were clearly very busy. The food however was only ok. Portions weren't the biggest and my burger was a little dry. But acceptable for the prices. My main issue was we were sat right by the kids play area and this got Abit annoying. However a pleasant night was had by all
The Red Admiral was exceptionally busy when we arrived but the staff were extremely efficient and helpful. The meals arrived in reasonable time considering the high number of customers and the food was well-cooked. The opportunity to use a meal voucher makes the Red Admiral very popular and no doubt attributed to the number of customers!
We had a very pleasant evening and will definitely return again soon.
Went here after a very long time, with my elderly father, 91. easy access for him, however very little parking nearby for the physically disabled. Lovely and clean, friendly reception great menu. He had the smaller fish, chips and peas on an offer menu with an ice cream sundae. Excellent value, especially if you don't have a bit appetite. I had the chicken and bacon salad which was probably the best salad I have out for years. Lovely and fresh, edamame beans, some grains, leaves , tasty dressing. Chicken very fresh. Excellent. We will be returning for the steak Thursday. Also good value. Highly recommended.
Ran out of fish for fish and chips.
Coffee machine was broken.
Chips cooked within an inch of their lives.
Was also really cold with both doors open and being on a reserved table right next to the door (which I wouldn't have picked) we would have stayed a bit longer despite the problems above because the staff are lovely. But it was too cold to stay.
A nice gastro pub with excellent staff and very good chefs, with a comprehensive menu. The only complaint was that the pub was like an oven (33 degrees with no air circulation) when they have air conditioning. The good work of the former was spoilt a little by the latter. Even a few pedestal fans would have helped. The staff were apologetic but one gained the impression that they were not allowed to see to the comfort of their customers by a simple flick of a switch.
We came for the bingo and stayed for Ella's amazing customer service. She always has a smile and will go out of her way to make sure you enjoy your visit. She is a credit to the business.
Husband & I visited, on a Sunday, with 92 yr old Mum, who has multiple severe food allergies. We were served by Harriet, Nella & Mia, who went - smilingly - to huge lengths to make sure that Mum could safely enjoy her meal of choice: steak (cooked in a separate pan), chips, plain salad, vegan vanilla ice-cream. The girls were so sweet & kind, never making Mum feel she was a bother in any way. We loved being able to eat with her, and see her enjoy her food. We plan to make it a monthly outing from now on!
We can down for some drinks with some family and friends and had such a lovely evening. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Nella and Chloe who were serving behind the bar and running the quiz. The atmosphere was so lovely in the pub tonight - it turned my Sunday into a Saturday :)
The fish n chips were gorgeous and so tasty. Service was laid back but very pleasant. It's a great place to catch up with a friend and have a meal, chat and laugh.

Pretty good pub! Food is great, and surprisingly speedy. The pizzas are equally amazing! The staff are all brilliant and there’s such a positive vibe in there too! Their events are great and well organised! Shout out to Mona for always having great banter!
Service was great and the food was lovely. We came for my daughters 6th birthday and the staff were more than happy to bring out the cake we brought for her and even added a couple of extra candles.

We had lunch here, it was not busy at the time. The food was fine, the service was ok and the prices reasonable.
There is a shortage of disabled parking close to the entrance though.
Myself and my team came to enjoy a well deserved bit of bingo, and boy did we have a great evening. We will definitely be back! Service was great, staff are all so lovely and the atmosphere was wonderful. A couple of us ate food, and it was great value for money and tasted fantastic!
