I visited Troon Beach as the only adult with three children, all aged 11.
I haven’t been in years and had no clue what would be available.
It was a spur-of-the-moment decision after being offered transport on a scorching hot Bank Holiday.
It was mobbed (we only have a few days this hot in Scotland), but there was a strong police presence, and there was plenty of space on the beach!
I settled in a relatively comfortable area and prepared to go with the flow.
The kids explored, had a dip, and were soon wanting snacks.
We had no expectations, but the only close business was this kiosk, so the kids were dispatched with their money.
It's right on the promenade and handy.
Honestly, I thought they would be lucky to get crisps and juice, but no, they all came back tucking into hot dogs, chips and cookie dough for afters.
They had to wait in line but were delighted with the food, and I would not hesitate to return.
The prices were reasonable, the kids were happy, and they even bought fishing nets for the rock pools.

Staff quick & plenty of banter. The first time my partner had tried a 99. We got a 99 large tub with an extra flake, plenty of raspberry, decent value considering it's right on the promenade. Yum yum!

Arrived by bus from Irvine just in time to see a glorious sunset at the beach .As you have no other listing for Troon Beach, i had to use kiosk listing as it is on the beach . It was closed tonight. I did arrive quite late. It does however have great ice cream as i found on another visit.
Awesome ice cream, cold drinks and hot snacks. Not a huge rip off, staff always polite and lots of them for those summer days. Keep up the great work
We always have an ice cream here (or sometimes chips) when in Troon. I do LOVE the whipped ice cream. Its not the cheapest (hence 4*), but it's a nice wee treat whilst sitting looking out over the beautuful views ❤️
Great coffee to keep you warm as you walk along the beach on a windy March afternoon.

Staff are always friendly and prices are reasonable for where it is. Ice cream is proper banging though, great for a walk down the prom. Chips and cheese are pretty amazing too!
A great setting for a kiosk with great views, plentiful benches and clean loos! There is a good selection of food and drinks, I'm working my way through the menu. The chips are delicious and the cookie dough is out of this world! The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Many thanks!
Your immediate thought is this place has got to be garbage well you would be wrong. Went to get a coffee for my mum who was sitting in the car and we thought we would have some tablet ice cream in a tub and a piece of caramel shortbread. The coffee was first rate which amazed me, the tablet ice cream could only be described as sensational and the shortbread which we had when we got home was homemade and a credit to whoever made it. The guy serving was also super helpful. Forget the facade and tuck in, all in all a serendipitous event if ever there was one.
