Came for lunch on a stormy rainy day. So much more than I was expecting. It was lovely and warm, the young lad who served us was very polite and helpful, food choice is brilliant. We ordered the goats cheese and halloumi sandwiches and a some fries to share (huge portion!) Came quickly and was delicious. Great value for such good food. Easy to find, easy to park (free), lovely building with a cute eco shop. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

This cafe was clean and unusual, very rustic. The cafe was warm and cosy as it was a cold and damp day. The food was delicious. The young waitress was not very friendly, although she did oblige us with our requests. However we're not told that the table was booked after us and we were asked to move after we finished our meal, though we would have ordered more drinks. We left and went elsewhere for a second coffee. I would go back because the food was lovely. There is also a large car park.

Great find amazing cakes and coffee. Food looked great as well. Large outdoor seating plus indoor if preferred with small Eco shop. Very dog friendly and masses of walks to choose from in this historic mining area . Well worth a visit

We had a delicious cooked breakfast at The Croust Hut yesterday. Had a sneak peek at the lunch menu and it looked great. Reckon the breakfast we had was one of the best we’ve ever eaten. Was very busy so I’d recommend booking especially if it’s a rainy day. Four stars for service as the lady who sat us was a bit brusque (I think because it was approaching the end of breakfast service and they were fully booked for lunch), also there was no way to just order sausage, beans and toast for our little one so we had to order a kids Cornish breakfast and take off all the items she wouldn’t eat, not the end of the world but frustrating. Overall though it was a great breakfast and they have toys for the kids to play with. The cake looked great and they serve one of the best ice-creams in Cornwall - Moo-maid.

Lovely place, welcoming look inside and with the outside seating next to the old mine building. Friendly staff, good cake (really important obviously 😂) and a fab choice of drinks, hot or cold. We didn't try anything other than the cake and cold drink, but I've heard good things about the food from friends and family too. We don't have a dog, but there were a couple nearby who got treats from the waitress too, so definitely dog friendly! Also really nice to see a fresh smelling clean toilet facitility!

We stopped here for lunch before going to the mine museum. We were expecting normal cafe type stuff but were pleasantly surprised to find the menu filled with delicious sounding Japanese/Korean food. We both had the Japanese fish finger sandwich which was delicious. I looked at other tables too and everything looked delicious. Wish I could have eaten more and tried everything on the menu 😂 They allow dogs inside too which was great. Terrace and outside space looked good, although the weather wasn't that great so we didn't use it. Staff were really friendly, attentive and service was excellent. Thank you Croust Hut. Unfortunately, I don't live in Cornwall and we were just passing through, otherwise I'd be back here all the time 😊 Will recommend to friends and family that might visit.

Amazing Asian inspired food. Something different for a cafe, good flavours and cooked well. Friendly staff. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Only negative was the wasps when we were eating outside. I would highly recommend getting some 'waspinators' as deterrents. Makes it a lot calmer experience eating outside. Some more plants around the outside seating would also be lovely.

Lovely setting on a nice day. Service was friendly and welcoming. Various spaces inside plus outside seating. There are plenty of parking spaces, which makes it convenient for meeting up with friends for a catch-up rather than in a town. It's a little pricey but I guess that's quite normal these days. Acceptable for an occasional treat out.

The Croust Hut is a little treasure of a find. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. The cakes are amazing and the menu is not what you would expect. Waffles with chicken and peanut butter and jelly with kimchi will blow your taste buds..it's well worth a visit .
