For me the bed was hard. The room could do with a bit of paint on the walls. Over all it was a nice stay for me. The young lady who checked me in was very polite and friendly and helpful. Parking was good.

We went to this hotel for new year .Our Room was perfect .Comfortable bed .Nice bathroom just what we expected .The Breakfast was great and given a choice of what you wanted . Very warm hotel and staff especially Diane who excelled in how to treat and speak to staff and went out off her way to talk and make our stay very good .The main meals were aweful , only downside of the weekend .Although we had Indian carry out in last night .Overall would recommend and would go back staff. Are very nice .Eat elsewhere at night that’s our opinion but recommend the hotel

Stayed here for two nights for our 15th wedding anniversary. The hotel was very warm on arrival, and we were given a much better room than expected. We thought we would get a room with an extra bed but we got a large room, with a separate bathroom and sea views. Very comfortable room. The decor was nice too, considering its the oldest hotel in Troon, it was tastefully decorated. Very quiet also. A bit of a walk from the town but not too far. There is a pub and shop very near. We had dinner the second night which was excellent. My wife ordered the steak pie, whereas I got the chicken with Swiss cheese. Quick service Staff were pleasant, and helpful and went out their way for any requirements. It's a bit of a walk from the train station, so on leaving we got a taxi, which was only £3.50. The hotel is well worth the money, and generally was one of the best we stayed at. The breakfast wasn't massive either which was good and was just enough for us. Good choice too. Would recommend, and would definitely be back there again, if we were ever in Troon. £180 for two nights which is very reasonable.
