Visited yesterday as we often take the dog to the beach. Visit this place specifically as its dog friendly. Lovely friendly staff, good fresh food and soup, nice selection of cakes and tray bakes, even gave the dog a treat and a bowl of water. Will definitely be visiting again.
Visited The Poppy Room recently and was very impressed with both the staff and food. The place has a friendly atmosphere and service was good. I would thoroughly recommend the home made soups and delicious home baking. Be back soon, without a doubt.
Visited this place last Thursday whilst on holiday. Lovely little place with good food and very friendly staff. Would certainly recommend. Was made to feel very welcome on rather a wet day in Troon!!!!!!
A nice, friendly and cosy place. Food really nice. This place has the addition of dogs being allowed in which is a nice attraction. I would definitely recommend it.
We have visited twice over the last week for breakfast after beach walk with our dog, staff very friendly, enjoyed my French toast, bacon and maple syrup lovely hot tea husband enjoyed his black pudding roll. thank you, great we were able to find a dog friendly cafe �

Very friendly welcome. Went to try the slimmers menu and have to say it was first class. Decent portions and good to fell in control. Daughter had macaroni which looked great as well. Would recommend to anyone and I for one will be a regular customer
Lovely friendly coffee shop. Our 16 week old puppy Alby had his first indoor social experience here today and he loved it!!! The staff made him so welcome and gave him a bowl of water too. Would definitely recommend xx

The Poppy Room provided the food for the high tea at Marr Ladies Day and it was perfect. The jam and cream scones were amazing!!!
Delicious coffee.... Melt in the mouth homemade scones. I love the daily special scone idea. Cheapest ever scone and coffee price. Different soups etc Extremely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop . Xxx

Excellent dog friendly cafe. Great home cooked good and fantastic selection of cakes/traybakes with speedy friendly service. Good value for money. Highly recommended if your looking for somewhere that welcomes you & your pets. Water and biscuits given to my dogs.

We had the half and half (lentil soup and tuna mayo sandwich was tasty) and chicken quesadilla. Both came with a some crisps, coleslaw and salad.
Stopped in to get a couple of cakes to take up the road with us. Staff were really pleasant and the cakes were delicious. We tried the biscoff caramel cake and rocky road!
A nice, clean cafe that is dog friendly. We arrived at 3pm to find the kitchen closed, so only options at this time are scones, cakes and beverages.
The scone I had was delicious, but I really had wanted a sandwich, so seems a bit early to me to close down this options.
The young waitress was efficient, but not very welcoming or friendly Our overall impression was that she didn't really want to be there. Maybe she'd had a busy day.
Bakery selection was very good and everything looked delicious.
Good service, plenty on the menu and dog friendly. Great little stop after walking the dog. Staff could do no more for you, anything you asked for, they helped

Visited our favourite dog friendly cafe in Troon today. Popular as ever with three other well behaved dogs. Service was prompt and staff cheery, prices are good. Sat beside a middle aged couple at the next table. Male smiled at us and our dachshund as we sat down, however, the lady was rather more solemn. We gave our dog his dinner from his bowl on his mat, also fed him a few treats. When the couple went to pay the lady complained to Jackie, the manageress, about the dog next to her table, there was one on the other side of her table. She said it was fed from the table and other comments.We found this out because, Jackie, rightly so, came up and spoke to us about the points raised and she also spoke the group at the next table with the dog about the same points.
It is a dog friendly cafe and we, along with many others, enjoy visiting. We will continue to go to this lovely cafe.
If people do not want to have dogs beside them and I understand this, then do not go to a dog friendly cafe etc.
Well worth a visit.

Great family run cafe. Simple but very good grub. Friendly staff, good service and dog friendly.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived pretty close to closing time. But they still managed feed and water us. Menu quite good. Pastries were in short supply but then we did arrive 20 minutes before clothing. Good thing is if you have a dog it's dog friendly.
Visited for the first time today, great little cafe with great food and excellent service. What was amazing to see was how the staff knew and looked out for a lot of the older locals, making sure they had food in and plans for their dinners etc. One member of staff had even brought a customer a turnip from her own garden to add to his dinner plans. The other great thing about this place is that it's dog friendly too. We will be back very soon
