Thanks to Lucy and all staff at the Akeman for a great evening. The service was great, the food was very nice and all served in a nice atmosphere. This was a treat for my wife's birthday and wedding anniversary. Flowers were even waiting for my wife at the table which I organised with Magnolia of Tring florists. I would recommend this venue. Thanks again.

Tasty lunch. Good to see brunch choices served right through til 5pm so opted for the avocado, salmon and eggs on sourdough. Sliced red chillies was a nice touch.

A nice location and atmosphere with a good variety of choices on the menu. Parking is a bit difficult.

We booked a lunch at The Akeman to celebrate our engagement as Tring is half way between our families and we were very happy with our choice. The food was really nice and service was great, thank you so much to the servers who looked after our big table. Definitely recommend 🌟

Called in for an impromptu lunch. We hadn’t booked but they found us a table. Kids menu is great value and excellent quality. We had the mussels which were amazing.

A local legend, great friendly staff and team serving good honest food for all ages. Whether going as a couple, a family or a large group there is something that can be found on the menu here for everyone tastes. Several of the menu items look pricey, (im looking at you steaks) but are wonderfully cooked and worth it. The team were also very accommodating with a couple of allergies, showing they had knowledge of the food they were serving and how to make everyone feel welcome.

We were a party of 4 for an evening meal. We've been to the Akeman many times before. Initially, we were a little concerned how much the prices had gone up but the qualty of service, food, and drink more than made up for that. I had mistakenly booked the Akeman, Aylesbury (which I didn't know existed) but the staff sorted a table out for us. This was extremely accommodating, especially as the pub was very busy. We had a couple of starters (soup, gralic bread) and 2 Beef Brisket mains (off of the specials list), Sea Bass, and a Pizza. We then had the Cookie dough and Sticky Toffee pudding for desserts. All were simply excellent and couldn't be faulted. All washed down with a lovely Malbec and Espresso Martini (which was mixed to perfection). Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout. We really couldn't fault a thing. Thanks again for being so swift and accommodating for the initial mix up. You made our evening.

We found this good restaurant for lunch when we visited Natural History Museum at Tring. It was pretty quiet in the beginning. The waiter lead us to a table by the window. We’ve ordered a shared ANTIPASTO MISTO and AVOCADO, ROCKET & NEW POTATO. The quality and quantity are great for two of us. When you visit Tring, this is the restaurant we highly recommend. We enjoyed it very much.

Went to The Akeman on a Wednesday evening for a light bite with two work colleagues. The welcome was warm and inviting and after a quick drink at the fully stocked bar (reasonable pricing) we were shown to our table at the back of the restaurant. There were several items on the menu were not available 😶but I settled on a pizza followed by a lemon trifle desert. The pizza was delicious (see image) but the desert was to sweet and sickly even for my sweet tooth. It environment was good and it was certainly busy, pricing was reasonable and I will be back.

Love the ambiance of the place. Modern and clean and options to dine outside under a huge canopy. Service is good without being over the top. Opted for olives and breads for starters. Stone dishes and olive oil/balsamic in bottles was a nice touch. Mains: salmon and potato salad. Tasted good but lacked presentation. Later saw a Cesar salad leaving the kitchen which looked much better. Would give 4.5 stars if an option. Recommended.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. The food was great, we had two calzone with some cocktails. Staff provided good customer service but they really should be checking the outside area more often!! We had to chase down them when we wanted something after we received our order. There should be one waitress checking the customers needs outside every now and then. All together we were satisfied and will be back soon.

This place is truly stunning. Plenty of seating in the pub sections and drinks are of high quality and reasonably priced. I visited on a Tuesday evening to which at the time of our visit (around 6pm) it was not very busy and we didn't book for a table in the restaurant. We was seated straight away to which the staff are all generous and very nice. Our food all arrived promptly and hot. The quality of food is very high and tasted amazing and all very well prepared. The bill came to around £60/70 for 2 people (1 drinking alcohol) for a 3 course meal. I believe the food was reasonably priced as the quality was really good and the service too. As our meal came to an end (around 8pm) the place was starting to get busy so I would recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment. They have a lovely seating area outside to which when the weather is nice can be enjoyed to it full potential. Overall, highly recommend.

Sunday lunch with friends, great service. Veggie options not too inspiring but being with friends made up for this plus great service. Table was tucked away which made it a bit too claustrophobic but we asked to sit outside for our puddings and coffee

What a fantastic find down from Tring Museum. Not cheap, where is these days? Food was tasty and beautifully presented. We had a 4 yr old with us. Lovely menu for kids and really nice food. Vegetable sticks, cod coujons and then ice cream, which was amazing. Loos were clean and equipped with nappies if you needed them. Jodie who served us was charming. We will return.
