This used to be one of my regular haunts when I worked in Tring. I popped in for lunch & a pint today. They have a great selection of local ales; the one I had was kept well. I had fish and chips; which were excellent. The batter is homemade with a hint of lemon & herbs. The fish was hake which was cooked well and accompanied by proper chips and mushy peas.

Had a surprise meal for our daughters 21st there with a party of 12 people. The service was brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the bbq ribs they were a meal on their own. Will be visiting there again and want to try their Sunday dinner. Forget the restaurants in the High Street this one beats them all.

A true old English pub with a fantastic variety of beers. Don't just go for the beer though, the food is wonderful. I recommend the pork chop meal.

Another great pub in Tring, always a good selection of fine ales as well as all your designer type lagers. Extensive Gin list! Great food which can be eaten in the bar area or in a separate dining area, which is a renovated outbuilding adjoining the main building. Ideal for celebrating with friends & family.

Great food, lovely people. Found this pub on Google, we were on our way back from London. We were made most welcome and the landlord and landlady most helpful. Definitely one to keep in the book for future reference.

Sat in lovely courtyard with the dog, in the early evening spring sunshine. Enjoyed great bottle of wine and a delicious sharing platter. What more could you ask for.

We had a family get together there, 20 of us, on 26th January, and the Kings Arms gave us a back room just for our group with its own bar. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Each course was served to us more or less all at the same time and the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening, thank you.

Loved our meal at the KA. Really good service great hospitality. Might we suggest a good steak and ale pie with some local ale for the menu.

A great Pub hidden in the back part of Tring, good atmosphere & Celiac friendly! The Staff we found were very helpful & friendly, happy to assist in modifying meals to make them Gluten free. The meals we had were excellent, 10 /10. They have a superb selection of Beers & Ales, including guest Ale(s).

What's great about the King's Arms is that it is a conversational pub. No jutebox no BS barman music just plain old conversation with local people it's a great place

This is an old style pub, I could feel like at home. Very nice waiters, probably the owners of the place! Very good food, they add something different in each plate, far from the normality of the chain pubs.

The ribs were some of the best ribs we’ve ever had and the landlord was so friendly. Not locals but he made us feel very welcome! We’ll be back!! Parking isn’t the best but who cares when the pub is this good 🤷🏼‍♀️

Firstly visiting this place in the back streets requires the premise that their is no car park & that it's extremely busy...then the building itself is a beautiful corner plot with a nice stone pillared imposing main entrance. Outside is a lovely cobbled courtyard area steeped in history. A gin distillery on one side & a restaurant overspill function room on the other. Benched tables run the length of the garden with the area being a sun trap in summer & very popular. Having been to this place on occasion to participate in the odd ale over the years, it was finally time to try the food that I had witnessed in days gone by. They did not disappoint.....if you want to have the Sunday roast, it is advisable to book in advance( preferably a week)it's that busy. They offer a small plate choice or regular size. If you want dessert, have the small plate, as by the time you have added the beautifully creamy cauliflower cheese, you will have more than enough on your plate. The meal itself is perfection personified. Roast meat of your choice, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, red cabbage, etc. Mint sauce & horseradish to compliment. The lovely couple who run this place know their stuff... you will not be disappointed. I can not recommend this place highly enough.
