Had a lovely visit today with the family....what a beautiful place highly recommend. Sandwiches freshly made. Cakes to die for and coffee to keep us going.....well done!! You will defo be seeing our faces again. Will be dreaming about the cakes tonight. You have done such a good job getting the chapel to the standard it is. You should be so proud. All the best for the future...onwards and upwards congrats Sally and Carl x
Visited today with 3 children and dog. Had a really lovely meal, highly recommend the scones with jam and cream. Very friendly staff. Really hope this place does well, lovely treat after a muddy walk x
Super food, lovely surroundings and friendly staff. Visited today with my girls for Mothers Day celebration. An added treat was that the tea service was my mum's favourite pattern. Each of my girls had a cup and saucer when she passed. It was like she was with us and she would have loved it.
Just been here. Had a lovely pot of tea and lunch. Carl and Sally had made the chapel a really nice place to relax and eat lunc and cake.
Well worth a visit for food and or exhibition if there's one on. Dairy gluten free option available too.
Had a lovely visit today with my father. Fantastic food and service. Would highly recommend a visit. Well done and good look Sally and staff!!
Had my Bridal shower afternoon tea here today and had a fab time. Staff were very helpful and accommodating and the food is 10/10. Lovely afternoon tea and atmosphere, would highly recommend a visit to chapel Tearooms to anyone !
Sally, Lynne and all the others were amazing. The service was excellent and the chef went out of his way to cater to my dietary needs. So thankful, best afternoon tea I've ever had! Fresh food, and smiling faces! Can't wait to come back in April!
Just been for our breakfast and it was lovely! Well worth a visit! Inside looks lovely! Good luck Sally and Carl!
Lovely lunch, tea and cake!! It looks amazing and can't wait to visit again!! Well done and best of luck Sally and Carl!!! Xxx
Had an amazing afternoon tea today for our mum for Mother's day. Food was delicious and the tea was lovely. The place has been beautifully decorated. And really lovely staff. Will be back for another visit soon
Ill be honest, i expected to find 2 lovely old ladies and a tea urn when i entered the Chapel but i was very much mistaken. what i actually found was a professionally renovated building with quality fittings and excellent staff.
It's great place, very lovely staff. Love it.
Wish come back soon and have great time again. Lots of loving memories.
Recommended to all. Booked in for afternoon tea with family. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it, and the service was excellent. We all felt well and truly spoilt. Perfect!
A restored Welsh Methodist Chapel, Bryn Seion is simply gorgeous. Now the Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom, it's retained most of it's original features for all to admire.
The Staff were very friendly, big smiles and a warm welcome is so appreciated.
Great selection of coffees, teas, freshly baked cakes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads and amazing breakfasts is just perfect!
The local historical attractions are simply amazing and beautiful. Thomas Telford's incredible worldwide known 'canal engineering feat' the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct completed in 1805 is simply jaw dropping stunning!
Thanks to all the staff for such an amazing experience and visit, well done all!
Highly recommended
A great little find a short distance from the Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Initially we just paid the £2 for parking but once we finished our stroll we frequented the cafe for tea and a yummy slice of Victoria sponge. An added bonus was that the parking charge was deducted from our bill. The cafe is also dog friendly which is a big plus for us. All the staff we encountered were cheerful and polite. Thank you to everyone at the cafe for making our day brighter.
Delicious breakfast in an ideal spot for the Aquaduct. Great parking system; £2 to park but that gets subtracted off of your bill when you buy something from the coffee shop / restaurant. Quirky room, really bright and airy.
Converted old Chapel, very close to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
We've visited this cafe several times and found it to be excellent in all respects.
There's a large car park which, as customers, we weren't charged for.
The tables inside the cafe are arranged on the ground floor, with further tables up some stairs.
There's a good menu of well-prepared food at reasonable prices.
The staff (all female) were very pleasant.
Even the toilets were clean .
There were several dogs in the cafe when we were there, including one rather annoying yapper. However. If dogs are your thing, then you'll be okay with that.
Overall, you won't be disappointed.
Our latest visit was in July 2023.
This tearoom is about five minutes from the Pontcysyllte aqueduct, Which is a World heritage site.
You are also about 10 minutes away from the local county park. This gives you access to walks, views and so much more.
The tearoom offers a wide menu that changes during the day. The food is fresh and very tasty. This pet and children friendly establishment is excellent value and well worth visiting.
The tearoom is in a former Welsh chapel. You have a chance to visit a little bit of local history and meet local people from the area.
A really lovely tea room! Found it by accident and what a treat, lovely environment (full of character), warm welcome by staff and very tasty food too! So appreciate finding this place for a treat on my walk - and dog friendly too!
Ordered the chapel burger and really enjoyed it! Friendly staff and great food. If I lived closer I would definitely be back.
Best little cafe ever with big helpings and a great selection of food including sandwiches, ham egg and chips, sausages, quiche and lovely home made cakes. Nicely made tea and coffee in china. Best of all it's extremely welcoming and popular with tourists and the local community alike. Great base with car park for the aqueduct. Great value. Lots of tables inside and out. Fabulous.
Gorgeous tearoom with friendly staff and a great menu. We had breakfast which was all locally sourced produce and tasted fantastic. Really good value for money
Great little tearoom. Nice food. Great atmosphere. Had yummy Welsh fruit cake for morning tea. Coffee was great. Went back for lunch. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend this place
