This pub is fantastic. We had Steak and Ale pie and three curry, chips and Naan. The pie pastry was delicious and was full of steak. The curry was absolutely delicious too lovely and creamy. Then we went for puddings. The Jam Sponge and custard was light and fluffy and the apple crumble and custard was delicious. If you want good home cooking at a very reasonable price, this is the place to go. Without hesitation, we would highly recommend The Duke of Wellington in Acrefair and you won’t be disappointed.

We have stopped at this pub a few times in the past but had not visited for a while (only because we have not been in the area) On our way to Wales so knew it was a good place to stop for lunch. Always had good food, everyone is very friendly and we will be stopping there again on our way back home

Really welcoming local pub, beer garden, friendly landlady. Amazing, value for money home cooked food. Ham and eggs possibly the nicest ham I have ever eaten. Spent the weekend in the area and it was the best food we ate, beating a £20 steak at a gastropub and a terrible sunday lunch in Llangollen. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

A lovely old world pub ideal for those who have been walking or are looking for a stop off for a refreshment, fully enclosed child/dog safe beer garden at front with lots of good quality tables and a tractor the kids can sit on play on. Good selection of drinks on and off tap, friendly staff and locals. Well worth a stop off. Not a big family food pub inside, more of a traditional old man's pub and bar but lovely nonetheless.

Great little pub with friendly locals, great home cooked meals, really pleasant and friendly staff who just couldnt do enough for you. The value was excellent both child and animal friendly with the added bonus of child play area and bouncy castle when weather is fine, and plently of outdoor seating for those that prefer to be out in the sunshine.

What a little gem - only popped in on the off chance but the staff (and locals) good hot food reasonably priced. Lamb reported to be delicious by ma, daughter child impressed with the mashed potatoes, and I can vouch for the all day breakfast. A great find - we'll be back 😋

Really nice place for brake. Close to Plas Madoc. Nice outdoor seating area with slide, bouncing castle and old tractor as a entertainment for a kids. Home coked food goes well with pint of local ale. Family and warm atmosphere. Menu looks good with great deal - two meals for £10. Pretty sure it's dog friendly too.

Very friendly and beautiful food at amazing prices. Portion sizes are large too. Definitely a favourite local pub. Toilets are outdoor and a bit rough though
