We live locally and know of the Ship inn but haven't been for meal there since current owners have been running it, but we had heard good reviews.
I decided to have my wife's surprise birthday party here last week and they catered for it just perfectly.

Lovely little pub in Trefin. Good atmosphere and foods. Fab puddings. Staff very welcoming. Dog friendly. Parking on site.
Incredibly great host, quaint bar and really top food. Actually, I'm not a fan of many different dishes (from different regions). But here the chef knows his craft.

Had a Friday evening meal at The Shop. Good food, well cooked and of particular note...excellent curries! Beautiful rice, hot naans and perfectly spiced Jalfrezziđź‘Ť. Good beer on tap and from the pump. They say an establishment is as good as it's staff...well The Ship is right up there!! Bravo!

I was here waiting for a friend and though I just had a coffee at a time that was quiet ,I felt entirely relaxed, at ease and welcome.
The decor is so interesting and the information gained about the building and local area is fascinating.
Well worth a visit!
Only stopped for a quick drink here, a latte and 3 soft drinks. Service was great, incredibly friendly. The history there is incredible. Loved all the pictures on the wall. Looking forward to returning soon for longer
Great pub. Interesting (very) old bar, newer dining room and a garden. Three real ales which change regularly and were well kept. A good food menu including a choice of proper vegan options.
Really nice friendly pub with good beer and food. Good to see it being used by locals as well as holidayers.
Worth checking that they have space if you want to dine in on a weekend. They also do a takeaway option.

A rare fined,a ordinary traditional pub,cod and chops very good,prices good,at least 20%lower than St.davids,friendly staff,I highly recommend this village pub,
Great food, perfect if you have a dog and in a quaint village. Good for an afternoon refreshment or as evening entertainment!
We ate here twice during our weeks stay in Trefin.
We felt it has now overcome its recent problems and enjoyed our meals.
A good choice of vegetarian meals.
Good value sweets ( ÂŁ4).
Would go again .
Great pub. Brill selection of beer, friendly staff, good value and tasty pub food that hasn’t just been blasted in the microwave. Long may this hub and centre of the village prosper.
Visited the ship Inn yesterday for the first time for 55 years as last time I was a child who camped in Trefin with my parents
We had a warm welcome we decided to have some lunch the food was excellent and presented well

Fantastic pub at the end of a nice coastal walk. As a vegan it was great to see that they offered a vegan option for every meal on the menu, with all vegan dessert options too. We had the Quorn 'fish' and chips and curry, both delicious. Highly recommend.
