The restaurant itself is very nicely laid out and has a very nice atmosphere, love all the sea related decorations, even had the shipping forecast in the toilets which I thought was a cool touch. The greeting and initial welcome was friendly and helpful, we had our dog who was welcomed and fussed. W
This was a right find, we didn't book, had 3 small dogs and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a meal and drink. The food came out quickly and was excellent, good portion sizes for feeders amongst us. Once you have had your meal, you can walk it off on the beach just 30 seconds away. The m
The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I recommend the Whitby Scampi, which was succulent and breaded to perfection. The portions are on the large size, which makes for a really good value meal. The service was friendly and warm and efficient. The restaurant is licensed with a decent
This place is utterly magic, it’s somewhere I will never forget. My wife and I were travelling through this town and were advised to go here by a local.
The staff seated us without a reservation despite being extremely busy as it seems they always are and we had the best meal of a whole travels acr
An absolute gem, we were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat. We approached from South Stack, and it looked OK. When we went inside, it was anything but ordinary. What a stunning restaurant this is the walls and ceiling are a feast for the eyes, so many curious items, boats, jars of sand from al
Huge restaurant by the sea, dog friendly and a great variety of food and drinks. The food was great and service too. Lovely place to stop before boarding the ferry. They do doggie ice cream and our puppy loved it. The walks around the restaurant were good, sadly it didn’t stop raining but it was st
We really enjoyed our visit here. It's much bigger than I expected and I thought there might be a bit of a wait for the food, but there wasn't. The service was excellent. Staff are really helpful and attentive and the food was great. I had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and honeycomb and I thi
We visited in the summer and it was very busy in the early evening. Though we didn't have a reservation, we did manage to get a table. The staff were very accommodating. On a Thursday night, the place was hopping. I ordered Calamari to start and the Chicken & Smoked Bacon Carbonara pasta. My wife ha
Busy restaurant, great atmosphere, great selection of alcoholic drinks with bartenders, choose any of the fish dishes! Dog-friendly too. Outside seating. Ice cream parlour.
Absolutely superb restaurant. First time visiting. Loads of friendly staff. The place is amazing inside. Its huge. Food was great. Seen loads of meals coming out the kitchen. All very large portions. Highly recommended.
Honestly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Worth 5* on that alone but kids menu was great; adults were allowed to choose off the kids’ menu (fish and chips was ample for my wife, sister-in-law and mother-in-law); dog friendly and service with a smile. Definitely recommend.
The calamari and pork
Really good food we enjoyed the sea food tagliatelle, lamb bolognaise, muscles in cream sauce and catch of the day hake and risotto. The service was good and very friendly. They are dog friendly before 5pm. Only downside is the cost of paying in the adjacent car park.
This place is great with wonderful service and fantastic food. I had the steak of the day with peppercorn sauce and it’s got to have been one of the nicest steaks I’ve had in a long time. I also had the Antipasti as a starter with this also really good. The service is excellent with freshly staff.
Lovely cafe! We only had the ice cream it was so nice could have gone back for more! Staff were friendly
Excellent food but quite pricey. Not the place if you want a simple sandwich or a panini. Delicious food but more of a restaurant vibe. Lovely decor. Can reccomend the Welsh rarebit. The chip butty was the simplest thing on the menu and was a real doorstop but expensive at £8.50!
One of the best Cafes in the UK!
I feel guilty sharing just how good it is as we don't want it so we can't book our repeat visits.
Had something small while waiting to check in at a cottage nearby. Food came really quick and had friendly service aswell. Great location and the interior decor of maps and old fishing stuff was really cool aswell.
A bustling nautical themed, seaside restaurant providing excellent service & great food... The whitebait and chipotle & honey glazed belly pork bites were delicious starters. For mains we enjoyed the "steak of the day" which was a 10oz ribeye - that came with proper chips, mushroom, salad and tomato
I’ve been here dozens of times and today went for lunch for the first time in nearly two years ( thanks to covid!) it is still the beach cafe that every beach cafe should aspire to be like. Ignore the fact that the food is good and sound and a well put together menu, it is the service that impresses
