Popped in on Friday evening, perfect quiet location. Menu has some great offerings and all seemingly reasonable until you get your food delivered to your table then realise the food is an absolute bargain. My half lobster and chips was just fantastic and delivered by helpful smiley staff. Fantastic place and I couldn't recommend it more highly
I've been on different days and I can say that the personal it's the most important thing to do your dinner/ lunch ,however what and why you are the,most joyful and pleasant. On my first day the staff were friendly and very helpful and ready to make my dinner perfect asking me about any allergy and helping me to choose exactly what I want from their menu. On the other day the other shift were less involved in customer care and needs. Overall the restaurant was nice and clean with very good quality food and the BEST Pizza in city and surrounding areas. If you are in Town I'm strongly recommend to stop and try that Pizza 🍕 😉

Service a bit hit and miss. But awesome food. If you set in the beer garden, which, as a view of the River Dart BEWARE of the greedy Seagulls. You have been warned ⚠️
Only popped in for a bacon baguette, which was lovely, but I want to go back for a few pints and a meal overlooking the river.
The place is beautiful, and it's a pleasure to be able to eat outside. This is a simple place, grabbing cutlery by yourself. We ordered the waterside burger which was very good and generous quantity. I really recommend this place
The food and atmosphere were lovely, but what really stood out to me was the service. Every member of staff was so friendly, but especially the main waiter. He was very kind and accommodated my needs as an autistic person perfectly. I find it hard to go out sometimes because of my disability but he really made me feel welcome and worked with my additional needs
Food was delicious and the staff were very obliging as we wanted to take the oyster shells home from our lunch and they found us a pizza box to use. Just a beautiful bistro right next to the water.
Lovely pub by the Riverside which has the feel of a proper restaurant. Nice and friendly staff who managed to find me a table despite being quite busy. Loved the very nice and tasty John Dory I had. The fish tasted so fresh. The best fresh fish I had in a long time. It was served with a generous portion of chips and salad. I would happily recommend this place.
Situated next to the river, this place is always going to be popular. Arrive early for breakfast treats. A couple of ales are served.
We drove past and thought we would pop in for dinner and were not disappointed, really tasty food, nicely presented, with friend & helpful staff. Happy to recommend.
Had a lovely family meal here to finish our holiday in Devon. The man who looked after us (maybe the owner?) was lovely and he made us all feel very welcome and made the kids laugh.
Good service and knowledge regarding gluten free/coeliac too.
My friends & I are still not ready to be in close confines indoors with others, so we wanted to go somewhere & eat outside.
You can't book the outside tables - they're first come first served. The tables next to the river go first.
You decide what food & drink you want and make a note of your table number. You then order outside at the till & pay by card. You can also order drinks & desserts by scanning the QR code on your table & ordering online.
Portions were very good and the food was nice quality. Service was great too.
We went early (approx 17.45) and the food came out very quickly.
I've got to say this is one of the best places to eat in the whole of Devon- and that's coming from me, a teenager! The food was absolutely delicious ( try the pizza or chicken burger ) and the service was great too! Overall the staff were really nice and it was a great experience!

Really lovely bistro by the river. Really attentive and friendly staff and great food. I had the tagine, my husband had a pizza and daughter had kids pasta......... we all finished every scrap! Husband said best pizza ever! Highly recommend 👌
Love this place. Sitting outside on a perfect spring day with superb coffee and cake. Could not ask for more.
Stopped in for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and lovely views of the river, even on a grey rainy day.
Came to enjoy lunch on a Sunday, decided upon not going for the traditional Sunday roast and instead having the Game pie - winner
Properly cooked vegetables, really enjoyable game pie, couple of new potatoes (but enough to fill up yourself) plus an amazing gravy, pudding next.
