Excellent afternoon tea and friendly hosts ! The lemon and blueberry cake is ace ! Will make this a regular visit from now !
Lovely old building. The cakes in the window drew us in. We were squeezed in and ordered. As a bigger table became available we were moved. The food was delicious (shared lunch and cake). The apple pie was worth it on its own.
We were in Totnes only for a few hours as it was the final destination on our South Devon Railways tour. We found the town mesmerisingly pretty. There were so many quirky and gorgeous cafes that it was difficult to chose from. In the end we ended up in the Anne of Cleves. We had the Cream Tea and a pot of Red Bush Tea. The scone, which we were told John, who also served us, bakes himself, was pretty good. The Clotted Cream and the Jam were quite nice. Both of them, who we interacted with, were warm and welcoming. The had an issue with the Card Machine, but glad we had some cash on us. We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit.
Lovely little tradition tea room. We had cream tea everything was homemade and tasty. Would definitely recommend this place.
Really lovely tea rooms, with super accommodating staff. My youngest wanted a sausage sandwith (not on the menu) and a vanilla milkshake (only flavor not on the menus) and they were more than happy to oblige. We had the Queen's afternoon tea for 2 which was tasty, and the kids were very happy with their lunch. Fantastic cakes, moist and flavourful. Very happy to recommend.
Popped in for some grub & it was lovely! I had scampi with chips & my wife had jacket spud with cheese & it was lovely! Nice friendly staff too! Went back today for Ham, eggs & chips. The wife had cheddar cheese & branston sandwich with hot chocolate. Scrummy!
Wonderful lunch so glad we stopped. The cakes in the the window caught our attention. We had the rarebit, so good! Make sure you save room for their pies and cakes, baked in house and sourced locally. Gluten free options are available on request. I look forward to going back and trying the afternoon tea.
Loved this cafe visit with my family. Delicious food, very friendly team and loved the old-style decor. Def recommend for lunch, or at least for the massive cake portions!
Well what can I say an amazing afternoon tea today ,the size of the cakes omg ,ended up taking 2 slices home,
Bit pricey but worth the extra money ,very generous and very tasty
Lovely quaint little cafe. We had an extremely warm welcome from the host, she was chatty and attentive. We went in for a cream tea and ended up stuffing a slice of cake in too, they all looked so delicious we couldn't resist!
Good old fashioned service with a big smile, I would recommend it to anyone visiting beautiful Totnes
Friendly welcome from the staff
Fast and efficient service....
Excellent crab sandwiches
Nice, pleasant quirky café on the high street. Lovely food and cakes. Nice serving staff and owner. Loses a star for coffee grounds at the bottom of the cappuccino. Gentle note to owner: if you're going to "have a word" with your waitress, please do so out of earshot of your customers. Thanks.
Visited this quaint little tea room today. Yes abit oldy worldy but staff were very helpful and friendly. Omg
The scones were delicious and the butter and jam topped them off wonderfully. The other cakes on display were also tempting, massive slices too...but as I had been eating lemon drizzle cake all week thought I better not..
Well worth a stop for the cake alone..
Lovely little tea room with amazing service and some absolutely amazing food. The cream tea is a perfect size and absolutely delicious. The items that I haven't eaten all look devine and will definitely go back at some point to try them out. I didn't hear one complaint whilst I was there.
Customer service is second to none. Very lovely staff and welcoming for families with young children.
