The most incredible experience!
By chance my partner and I decided to stop here and we were so glad we did.
As others have said, every dish is a delight. It's a kaleidoscope of flavours and textures where everything just *works*. It's clear to see a lot of love goes into the preparation and display of the dishes.
The price may put some off, but if you are visiting the area for holiday and feel you can spend a little more than you might otherwise, it's absolutely worth it. The full menu will almost certainly fill you up; we had some leftovers that we were glad to take away to enjoy the next day!
There are few restaurants that will let customers stay for 3 hours, but Bianca and Massimo were so welcoming. We enjoyed taking our time and chatting with them.
I will go back to Devon just to eat here again!

This is an 'experience', not just a meal out. The restaurant is small, cosy and intimate and the service is impeccable. Every single item of food (and there is a tremendous amount served to you) has a story woven into it...from the pasta made from the produce of 100 year old Heritage seeds, to the interesting story behind their very special coffee beans! Each dish is unique, bursting with flavour and of course brimming full of nutrients. My husband and I have eaten in many restaurants worldwide and this has to rank amongst the very top. Highly, highly recommend this fabulous experience. During and after your meal, the whole experience becomes a social occasion too, with interesting conversations shared between the three tables. You are encouraged to relax and take your time...to stay as long as you want, unlike some other places that need you to vacate your table for the next set of diners. We have already made our second booking and doubtless there will be many, many more!

Sit down in a curio shop and get fed things you had no idea existed. A genuine couple from Italy who love people, perhaps even more than food, bring you ideas in the form of dishes that are charming, thrilling, even confusing. Feel the trust they have for you, and you find you have for them. Realise you are part of the process, that art and flavour and delight and texture and melody can all be blended. Wonder whether another rave review would somehow overwhelm this beautiful act of creation, break it perhaps. But also know, as well as you know anything if you think yourself one of the foodie types, that this experience puts meals at Michelin starred restaurants to shame. It wins on drama with the cluttered understated setting. It wins on intimacy and service with a flourish and laughs that only comes from a true heart. It wins on flavour and texture and fragrance and variety and simplicity. It wins, it wins, it wins. Bravo, Bianca e Massimo!
We stumbled upon this cosy and unique dining experience by total chance, and what a marvellous time we had! The food was made with so much love and had our tastebuds tingling. I'm Italian, and for me this was the most interesting fusion food I've eaten outside of my own household. Massimo and Bianca are excellent hosts who make sure you really have everything you need and want. They were very gracious, and it was very much like being hosted personally at their own home. I'm very grateful that we found them! I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be very well looked after and who's looking for a romantic and unique dining experience.
Amazing food and lovely hosts!
Intimate setting in a lovely and unique restaurant, which fits around 3 tables and is decorated as an extension of hosts, Bianca and Massimo's, home life.
Massimo explained the food situation to us, in that there is a rough menu but that Bianca will often change the ingredients around slightly however she feels on the day.
The food that did come out was amazing; a phenomenal Japanese inspired soup (our favourite) followed by a tapas course, a pasta course and a fantastic chocolate "crumble" for desert. Our descriptions wouldn't do the food justice - you just have to try it for yourselves!
The food is fully vegan and 100% organic. It all tasted absolutely amazing and both Bianca and Massimo were such lovely hosts.
It cost around £70/pp for the 4 courses plus a little bit for corkage. Slightly on the upper edge of what we would tend to pay for any meal out, but it was definitely worth it!
They welcomed our small dog too!
I'd wish to give 10 stars if I could! Never had I anywhere such an amazing, delightful and delicious vegan & gluten-free 3-course dinner. The surprising antipasti consisting of a palette of 14 (!) different creations formed a tasteful, exciting musical symphony for the palate. The quinoa/vegetable main dish was another glorious, delectable and scrumptious composition with care and attention for the visual as well as the taste experience, eating it became another sensational and joyful journey due to the flavoursome, rich and fine variety of roots, leaves and fruits. It was astonishing this could still be topped with a choice of unique exquisite desserts accompanied by the most sublime organic espresso. Next time I'm in Devon I'll be back!
This was such an incredible birthday experience. The interior is intimist and the food is sophisticated and absolute original. You eat at their table like you visit an art gallery, let your senses take over and go on a culinary journey. Bianca and Massimo are so kind, so thoughtful, and so passionate. Can’t wait to return!
This restaurant is an absolute MUST when you are in Totnes! It fits perfectly with the hippie flair that surrounds the city.
The food is pure love and passion. Absolutely top quality prepared with dedication. A real taste explosion!

Even if we have to drive a little bit, we always love to come back to this very special place. Bring hosted by Bianca e Massimo is an amazing experience. Prepare your taste buds to be inspired by the most unusual and delicious combinations! It is starting with a platter of twelve different creations and ending with a dessert that even non-desert people like me can't say no to. The main today was hazelnut pasta and I felt like melting away with my first bite. These evenings are worth every penny and every mile, we absolutely love the food, the spirit and the location. Bianca e Massimo you are fantastic and we can't wait to come back!
