Arrived at 7pm on a Sunday and surprisingly, we were the only people in the place. I think the other reviews are a bit unfair. We had a bueno and Nutella crepe, a banoffee crepe with some seriously delicious cherry gelato and a strawberry and marshmallow milkshake Everything was absolutely mouthwatering! I’d suggest the portion sizes could be cut or a smaller option offered as I struggled to finish and my partner only managed half her crepe. Very friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere. We would both highly recommend and we will be visiting frequently to explore the huge menu �
A friend and I went today after desperately wanting to try it since it opened, and we weren’t dissiapointed! Lovely staff, food was great, we felt the pricing was pretty reasonable, and plenty of choice! The milkshakes were served in cute little milk bottles and were delicious, we both had crepes which were great! And while ordering at the counter I was looking at the different ice cream flavours available and there are so many that look incredible! We tried blue candy-floss and I honestly cannot recommend it enough if you are a floss fan! It’s something really fun and different for Torquay, odd little things were not 100% but when it’s a new business this is understandable and we would absolutely go back again anyway! ��
Had the Bueno Cookie Dough and it was the best dessert I've ever had, tasted amazing, all fresh and the food was very quick to arrive! Would definitely recommend �
Every time we’ve visited, the staff have been friendly and welcoming. The food is great (we recommend the Bueno waffles) and freshly prepared while you wait. Admittedly we’ve probably been too often already, but we will definitely be returning!
Brilliant place! Stopped off on my hen do to get pudding! So welcoming, catered so well for our large group and the food was amazing!!! � �
Absolutely delicious like good quality ingredients staff are super friendly lovely interior decorated so well and super chill vibe which is nice I really do recommend
A group of us went out for a meal and opted to have dessert at mama’s instead. Was not disappointed at all. I had the caramel and chocolate sundae and it was amazing. So much to choose from means that I will be definitely going again. Mama’s you may have found a regular customer in me!!!!!
Took my boy out for a treat tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Killed the diet with the cookie dough but was so worth it! � .. Definetely will return to try more off the menu
We visited a few days ago and we all loved our desserts and will be back again. However it would be even better if there was a children's menu as mine really struggled with the size of them. Or maybe the same desserts but half the size for kids for a couple of £ cheaper.
I visited Mama’s a few weeks ago with some friends. I ordered a Bounty Hunter Sundae which was delicious! I personally think some of the negative reviews on here are very unfair. New businesses always have a few initial teething problems. I would definitely go back again and recommend it to my friends.
The snickers milkshake is amazing & worth every calorie!!
We had the brownie ice cream & mint chocolate ice-cream which didn't disappoint either.
We will be back again soon.

Had a warm banoffee cookie dough and strawberry shortcake milkshake. Both were generously portioned and freshly made to order. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for that sweet fix, especially nice as it's air conditioned inside on a hot day!
Excellent waffles and milkshakes, good prices and during a heat wave it is lovely and cool in there. Deffinatly return soon. Excellent service.
we had Eton Mess waffle and strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake.. gorgeous...... well worth the long wait. avoid the toilets......(otherwise would have been 5 stars)
Went yesterday delicious big portions. The menus are large I wanted to try everything so hoping to, the next time.
Enjoyed a takeaway brownie waffle and banana and nutella crepe during our stay in Torquay. Very tasty and good quality food. Parking is difficult due to it being in the main city centre and it was very dark and dingy when I went inside with no-one else inside apart from staff. Also, they only had one fork and a few little spoons and we were staying in a bed and breakfast so had no cutlery. But overall enjoyed it!
The portions are so big that u have to bring in a friend to help u finish the waffles, but i enjoyed it!
Absolutely amazing desserts. My friend and I arrived late in the evening and received absolutely amazing service and desserts. I had a sundae, which was delicious, and she had a waffle, which she was happy with. I definitely recommend - not just for the food, but for the atmosphere.
A great little find. Friendly staff and a great menu. Would defiantly recommend for anyone who is a dessert lover.
Food is brilliant so don't know why people are complaining because it was banging I'm eating healthy and waited a month to eat whatever and we'll worth it 😉
Very good value. Waffles, pancakes, cookie dough, sundaes and milkshakes. Even hot puddings when the season demands! Not so much choice for gluten and dairy free; but they did us a sorbet sundae with jelly sweets and sprinkles for our young dairy-free visitors which was declared the best dessert ever. The brave and very hungry should try the frankensteiner 🍒🍨
Fantastic service by Lindsy . We have promised our kids that if they being good for whole day then they would be rewarded with ice cream. Unfortunately all ice-cream parlours were closed including Mama's . We reached at mama's when Lindsy was already closed the parlour. However after listening to our story she served all of us with delicious ice creams . This not only saved us from embarrassment but also we have finished our day with a high note. Mama's Dessert Kitchen will certainly stay in our memories for a long time. Well done Lindsy for your kindness and for a great service . BTW ice creams were scrumptious too. We will certainly recommend this place to all. Mama's Dessert Kitchen surely is a credit to Torquay.
We just ordered a Jam Roly Poly and a marshmallow waffle. My missus is still eating the waffle, so I can only guess that she's enjoying it. (she's making new noises.) My jam roly poly was immense! Big portion, warm custard, tasty jam, amazing!
