Totally amazed about how well, the food was cooked and taking care of, packaged and delivered still crunchy piping hot. The portions were also very generous. Overall best chip shop experience I’ve had yet.
Best fish and chips I've had in a long while! The scampi was delicious too. We only dropped by whilst on holiday but I wish we had a chippy this good near us!

We were recommended the fish and chips by the taxi driver on our way to our holiday camp. Tried them tonight. Owner was a delight. She delivered the order to us and the food was delicious and a very good portion at a decent price.
Great fish and chips, made by lovely friendly staff. I took my toddler (which is sometimes a bit of a challenge when trying to eat out!) and the staff couldn't have been more accomodating. It's a big thumbs up from me. Will be returning again soon :)
A great find. We sat in for fish & chips on a Thursday evening. The queue for takeaway was relentless. Excellent quality, cooked to order. Good portion at a reasonable price. We recommend!
Sat in for dinner. All very friendly staff. Food was excellent quality, chips are delicious. Batter was near perfect! I’ve eaten many a fish and chips and can honestly say this is one of the best I’ve had.
Well I've never had so such a nice Fish and Chip meal whilst on holiday. The staff here are so friendly cannot say anymore only that anyone seeing my review come and try yourselves

The best chippy I have been in for a very long time. Despite there being a large queue due to a football match at Plainmoor, the staff was so organised and the food was excellent. We will certainly revisit when in Torquay again
Great fish and chips really hich were both really tasty. The fish was freshly cooked while we waited which is the best way. The fish was also a good size batter was light and fresh. The chips were widely cooked too. This was my first visit to this Fish and Chip shop and when in the area again I will be visiting for sure. I highly recommend the fish and chips for sure. Better value than some other local competitors the food here has quality to match all.
Can't fault this chippy. Me and my mum eat in their cafe, food is excellent and the staff are amazing. They really look after my elderly mum and make time to have a chat with her and give her the best service. Thank you guys

Just had a takeaway from here and it was amazing! Although it was really busy the staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was super hot and very tasty and great value for money. Would highly recommend!
Very friendly, warm, welcoming staff, the fish and chips were lovely and crispy and one staff member love this job so much he was sing as we where in the restaurant
First time using The Usual Plaice and very impressed. Lovely people, fantastic fish and chips not had this good for years. Even the lady who delivered the food was lovely. If I could give 6 stars I would. Will be a regular customer from now on.
